We took a ride from Ocala down A1A and stumbled upon the Java Joint. It was cold so we decided to stop in for some coffee. It was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the view and the hospitality. The servers were very friendly the prices were reasonable and even when we were leaving the other patrons waved goodbye. When we pass through again we plan on stopping and having either breakfast or lunch. We plan on being future customers. If anyone knows of any weekend getaways to rent in the area please let us know. Alternative lifestyle friendly would be great. |

Quaint little cafe on the beach. My family had lunch there and everything was terrific. I had the seafood bisque which was to die for! My nephew had the mushroom burger and loved it, and my mother had a delicious salad. |

I have been going to the Java Joint since my sister first pointed out to me, when I was visiting a few years ago. She lives in Palm Coast and I'm in New York.
I like it so much that I even have an advertisement with a picture of the Java Joint hanging on my wall at work, along with a hotel in Saint Augustine and the view of the Intercoastal Waterway.
I am wild for the chicken and walnut salad and I have never been disappointed. What a joy to sit on the deck and watch the beautiful ocean. It can't get much better than that!
The wait staff is attentive and very polite. I recommend the Java Joint to everyone for excellent food and great service.
A fan forever.... |

Had Dinner about 7 PM. Pasta Stir with garlic, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, and a garlic reduction topped off with blackened salmon. Garlic toast was included. (the big kind). Very good and a generous serving. Cabernet for the wine and they kept my glass full. I'd recommend early dinning if you'd like the place to yourself. I arrived around 7. 4 couples and 2 other people arrived after I ordered. The brownie desert comes with REAL whipped cream. |

We had breakfast last Sunday and the food was great, so we decided to try dinner this evening.. When we noticed we were the only one's there at 6:30pm we got somewhat concerned. Not happy with the house merlot , we ordered a more expensive merlot(fat bastard) which was disappointing and had to settle for something other than what we ordered.. Instead of serving dinner rolls they served toasted white bread.. We ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms and Mahi Mahi. It was served with no spinach and one small piece of tomato and a small piece of fish. The waitress apologized and brought out a very small portion of spinach and tomatoes and we were told the fish was small because it was a pasta dish. At $13.99 it seemed like a high price for basically just pasta and mushrooms. The waitress was very nice and when asked to speak to the owner, we were told she was too busy. This seems confusing since we were the only ones' there. Now we know why no one else was there. Really disgusted. No chance of us going back there nor would recommend this restaurant to our friends. |

After spending several days looking for a real coffee house in Palm Coast visiting my mother in law, we happened on Java Joint. What a wonderful happen-chance! Great coffee, great food, breakfast and lunch (we ate 2 days!), cool clothes (I got the jacket, my husband the long sleeved shirt) , great service, friendly workers and owner and wonderful, dog friendly, atmosphere!
The best compliment I can give this place - is that we are from Ohio and the place that we have told everyone about and the place we will go back to as soon as we can on return to Florida - will be JAVA JOINT! |

Good Breakfast place. Eat on the deck and enjoy the view. They are dog friendly, as far as dinning on the deck. It seems most of the patrons love dogs since I get petted and scratched by everyone. They serve evening meals on Friday. My Master says "Excellent food!" |

We have been to the Java Joint quite a few times in the last year, since we moved to Palm Coast, and have always found it wonderful. The Tuna Melt and the seafood chowder are my lunchtime favorites. Coffee's great, too. Friendly owners. I like to take visiting friends there for a morning coffee or lunch overlooking the ocean. |

Been there several times and always have been very satisfied with the service and the food. However if you are in a hurry, pass! They only know how to cook one order at a time. The place is full and nobody eating except one table at a time. Can't beat the view while you wait. |

Java Joint has a great location, great ocean views, friendly servers and very tasty food. But don't expect a fancy restaurant, it is indeed a local neighborhood type "Joint" of a place, one that makes you feel very welcomed and satisfied with good healthy portions of simple down to earth cuisine. |

I have only been to the Java Joint for breakfast and it's a great place to start your day off. Nothing is better than a warm morning overlooking the ocean with good coffee and a tasty breakfast burrito. Service is always friendly and although the food isn't exactly to die for, it is very good and plentiful. Check this place out, but don't take my favorite spot on the deck! |

For any of you that have complained about the food or service I say try again! I just moved down here to Palm Coast 3 months ago and by far Java Joint has the best food, location and servers and with a smile / conversation! Tom is our favorite server. My mom, Aunts and friends meet here at least 2-3 times a week...the specialty coffee's have Starbucks running for competition, the menu & pricing is fabulous and Sunday's after Church are busy yes, but have patience people...relax and enjoy! Why rush? Lean over the balcony and enjoy the view of our ocean. |

Sunday's are wonderfull on the deck at Java Joint, we eat there every sunday afternoon and have had great food and service they have mimosa's and great coffee drinks and what a view. It is a small cafe so at times when they are packed we wait a little bit for the food but the food is so worth the wait we don't mind at all. And did I say what a view! The wait staff is friendly and fun and we love going there Sunday's and during the week. |

BEWARE: SUNDAYS ARE A DISASTER. My wife and I have frequented Java Joint for quite some time now and would have brunch there on the weekends. Not anymore.
Our last couple of visits have been awful. We usually like to sit outside on the deck and now find that if they are crowded you will get absolutely horrendous service if you sit on the deck. Out of site out of mind I guess. As an ex-waiter, I understand how increased traffic in the restaurant backs things up in the kitchen but it appears when things get hectic the wait staff abandons the deck and then offers weak excuses about "golly we are slammed!" Busy=Good for them, bad for you.
We just left there this morning. After placing our order and then waiting at an outside table for over an hour we asked about our order. We were informed that our order had NOT been placed with the kitchen. We were offered a weak apology and told we could "get it to go I guess if you want to stay." We informed our waitress we were leaving and she cheerily told us not to worry about paying for our Orange Juice?!?!?!? Uh, thanks. This was the SECOND time this has happened in our last 3 visits.
I might be back on weekdays but my wife has refused to ever return. It's sad really cause it used to be her favorite place. Food is still good... it's just a beating to get any on the weekends now. |

Went there last Saturday and ordered the tomato and motz. sandwich to go. Got it out to my truck and checked it out and saw that the motz on it was about the size of a quarter and there was only two pieces on the whole sandwich. Contemplated about going back inside to ask for more chez and decided that I just wont go back. |

Had lunch here for the first time today. I ordered the ham & cheese sandwich and my partner a tuna melt. Both sandwiches were more than ample and my ham was well stacked. The cheese though was nasty processed cheese and the bread (wheat) was hard and very dry. I will try again and hope for better next time. This could be a fantastic place. |

Due to all of the great reviews on this site decided to stop in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Sorry to say I was a little disappointed. The waitress was prompt but the kitchen was not able to keep up with her. We were seated at approximately the same time as the table next to us but they were almost finished eating before our food arrived. My daughter only ordered a bagel but the wrong type was serverd. My breakfast burrito was fine but my wife's French Toast was nothing special. The coffee was very good and the view is very nice. I won't try it again on a Sunday morning but will try it on a weekday for coffee and the view. |

We stopped in for beakfast this morning. I had French toast with powdered sugar and maple syrup. Jill had home fries, eggs over easy, and wheat toast. We both had coffee. We found the place very appealing. The food, the service and the coffee were outstanding. Especially the coffee. The coffee's flavor was robust.

MY HUSBAND AND I- RESIDENTS FOR ONE YEAR IN PALM COAST- WENT TO JAVA JOINT FIRST FOR BREAKFAST- AND WE LOVED IT! I HAD THE BREAKFAST BURRITO AND IT WAS JUST DELICIOUS. MY HUSBAND'S OVER EASY EGGS WERE COOKED TO PERFECTION. WE THEN WENT BACK FOR LUNCH A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER- ONCE AGAIN- EVERYTHING FROM FOOD TO SERVICE TO CHATTING WITH THE LOVELY LADIES WHO OWN THE PLACE WERE GREAT. I MUST MENTION THAT THE PLACE IS SPOTLESS ALSO. I LOOK FORWARD TO RETURNING AND ENJOYING MYSELF. REAL SOON! |

The whispering Atlantic fills the windows of the cutest little bastion of casual elegance in Flagler Beach, its azure might a perfect counterpoint for the savory food and sizzling staff. You can eat all three squares here and feel hipper than you have in years. Spicy Mahi-Mahi, homemade everything, free-flowing sweet tea, organic wine, druidic rites in the moonlight once each month (if you think this reviewer jests, kindly come and bask in the warm blue light next moonlit summer's night). The Joint will become to you a hammock, with the comfort of a hug and the sensual luxury of a nap in the shade. You may find the beachside oasis becoming the halfway point to anywhere you have to go in the greater Flagler metropolitan area; you may find yourself rationalizing, as I have, "Well, it's on the way, more or less," when your heart of hearts knows that rationale is the product of the same screaming id that demands a piece of the Atlanta Cheese Cake during every visit. Whatever you tell yourself so that you may sleep at night, rest assured that a breakfast burrito may beckon you from your slumber, as the Java Joint- with its salts and sweets and the lilting laughter of the servers- has a way of insinuating itself into one's dreams. A cold bowl of cereal looks less tasty when images of seafoam-borne service dance around your groggy head.
Oh, and when you're drinking in the view of the mighty Atlantic, do try to leave room for the dessert, as breathtaking vistas abound. |

After checking into our hotel late, we needed a casual dinner close by. We read good reviews about this place so we went for dinner on a Saturday night. We LOVED the Filet Mignon Wrap and the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap! They were tender and flavorful - just delicious! We also thoroughly devoured the triple chocolate layer cake! The coffee and Chai latte were perfect too! We went every morning for coffee and tea! A great place for a casual meal or some coffee and dessert. |

I'm late putting in my review, I was last there in December. My husband and I stopped in to try them for breakfast, and I was not disappointed. The croissant I had toasted, crispy golden edges and steamy soft inside, everything hot and on time. The waitress was very new, but friendly and got the order right and on time. The coffee was fabulous! I'll be going back. |

I was visiting from Cape Cod MS. and went to the Java Joint for Dinner and WOW! The Food was the best we have had in a long time. The Seared Ahi Tuna (sushi grade) was amazing, Seared Scallops with a Cream Dill Sauce over angle hair pasta was great. They said there is a early bird pasta special for under $10.00 including salad and drink so we will be back to try that too. Service was good, organic coffee outstanding, the view was unbeatable.
This will be a place we visit regulary. |

I adore this place. I am a former co-worker of one of the owners and it turned out just as they always wanted it to, it's an eclectic, warm place to get great coffee, awesome food and sparkling conversation. I love the ambience, the view.. and the fact that you can hang out on the deck.. walk across to the beach and drink your coffee. I live 2 hours away but, I visit as often as I possibly can. the community needs it, and I'm so glad they're doing well :) |

Their house salad dressing is another favorite of mine. The owners seem to take pride in offering quality food and great organic coffee. Love the artwork, the color scheme and flooring, as well as the music. I 'm so happy that Flagler has such a cool, eclectic little joint, with such a positive vibe-we needed this. .

I would never hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone! The owners are awesome ladies, and genuine as they can be. They really care about the customers, and they show it in ways that are to many to mention.
I went to work for the ladies, but, didn't last long. The only problem I had was the heat in the kitchen. You all know the old saying, "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen"? Well, my hot flashes would not allow me to stay, but, I will be back often as a customer.
The ladies are clean freaks, the food is to die for, presentation of the food is top notch, and the portions are quite hardy. All the food is homemade, the coffee is organic, the baristas know their stuff.... I could go on for awhile, but, you get the picture. Oh, and speaking of picture... what a view. Also the girls do not mind that you stay as long as you want, they are just glad that you came in.
I am truly sorry that the heat, and my inability to stand being in the kitchen is preventing me from enjoying the experience of working in such a prime setting, and being a part of what I am sure is one of the best kept secrets around Flagler Beach. |

My husband and I went down to the beach today and decided to give Java a try for lunch.
We both had the "porky hawaiian wrap" and it was delicious. It came with a choice of potato salad or coleslaw and both were pretty good.
They seemed to have a wide variety of sandwiches and wraps to choose from.
My husband did try the house coffee, and he was very impressed.
We sat outside on the deck, had a nice lunch, and a beautiful view of the ocean on a gorgeous day, doesn't get much better than that. |
