Welcome to Blue! Owners Gary Maresca and John Read have brought their "big city" culinary talents to Flagler Beach. Between the two, they have been chefs/managers at Ruth's' Chris Steak House (Beverly Hills), The Russian Tea Room (NYC) and a well-known vineyard in the Finger Lakes region of NY State. Their diverse backgrounds are reflected in the food and wine list at Blue.
Housed in the Topaz Hotel, a historic landmark in Flagler Beach, Blue opened in 2003 and is distinctively known to the area as Flagler's best restaurant for its ambiance and its array of menu choices.
The Topaz Hotel was built in 1928 and was considered quite a grand home for its time and still has a distinguished presence some 70 years later. With countless antiques, memorabilia and magnificent hand-carved moldings around the ceilings decorating the hotel, Topaz is a journey back in time. It is in these rooms as well as in our more modern ocean view dining rooms and on our beautiful wrap-around porch that Blue serves dinner.
The menu at Blue is as eclectic as the building and treasures therein. Blue specializes in fine food superbly done. From lighter fair such as the Grilled Portobello Sandwich and Fish Tacos to the more exotic Wasabi Horseradish Honey Crusted Salmon or Sautéed Shrimp Pomadoro and a finale' of one of Blue's divinely decadent desserts, Blue promises to thrill and satisfy.
