This was the worst restaurant that I have visited in 4 years of living in the area, I ordered a grilled chicken ceasar salad, which when it arrived had orange breaded chicken shredded on the top of tired looking lettuce, chopped tomatoes and canned sliced mushrooms, - I pointed this out to the waitress, and was told this was how the Chef made a Ceasar salad. My companion had the stuffed pork chop - it appeared and tasted as if it had been cooked 3 days ago and had been reheated several times. |

Wow! Nice surprise! I didn't expect it to be so good, the decor/atmosphere isn't much but the food was terrific! The New England style clam chowder with spinach was so good, I could have just kept ordering more instead of going on to the entree. But - I'm glad I didn't - the rollintin di pollo was awesome!! I kept sharing with others just to show them how good it was. I also got to taste someone else's chicken waterloo & it was also very, very good. I liked listening to live music, too, not enough of that around here in my book. We'll be back! |

We had such a pleasant evening last Friday at the Hargrove Grille, that I just had to write a review. The weather was on our side for sitting outside and listening to an acoustic guitarist. She was just as terrific as the weather. We were hoping for a little appetizer but they didn't really have any - so we shared an entree instead and it was very good. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The bread pudding was delish!! Our waitress was really pleasant and always prompt. I hope they continue to have music - we'll be back. |

A hidden gem with great solid cooking. Don't expect high end cuisine. What you get here is a menu of quite traditional dishes done very well at good prices. This is not a fancy place and the service can be a little slow at times. It's also off the main track but worth visiting. |

I think you would be quite surprised with Hargrove Grille. It's basically just an industrial park cafe with basic furnishings and no fancy trimmings. But it does offer some very good food at great prices. The cook knows how to cook. He obviously has experience and does a good job at getting everything out fresh and hot. Service is always good too. Unless you work nearby it's out of the way for most, but give this place a try... it's worth it! |

We visited Hargrove today, 4/29/07 for lunch with our mother and aunt. We had a wonderful experience as we always do when we decide to go here. The elders had grilled cheese, one with apple sauce and the other with French fries. My wife and I each had a BLT on whole wheat, one with fries and the other with potato salad. Well the food was excellent as usual. Our aunt raved of the simple grilled cheese sandwich. How fresh and wonderful it was and the apple sauce was so chilled. The restaurant was not busy as it is out of the way. We had wonderful company speaking with the owner Bob and the chef Gus. Tremendous guys with great personalities. The service was excellent as usual. The menu at this restaurant is quite extensive and each time we decide to go to Hargrove, whether it be morning, noon or evening the food is excellent, fresh and filling. We cannot wait until the outside patio is complete and we can dine under the umbrellas. People who have not tried this restaurant ought to as you will not be disappointed. And you will not be able to wait until you're hungry again so you can return. Bon Appetite. |

As always we had a very nice breakfast last Sunday morning. There were the usual six of us and we all had an excellent breakfast. We have also been there for lunch and always left smiling. Bob and Gus are great and very personable. They are both from South Florida so we all share our war stories. Keep up the good work. By the way, the inside looks great. Can't wait till you finish up the outside patio. |

We have a wonderful experience every time we eat here! The staff and owner are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. My husband loves the chili and orders a bowl every time we come in. The steak, chicken and brisket sandwiches are all tasty. The fries are fresh and delicious with a wonderful touch of sea salt. The crunchy French toast is a must-try! The only reason I could not give the Grill 5 stars is the lack of table cleanliness. They use paper placemats and I believe they don't wipe down the tables as thoroughly as they should. I have a small child and when I wiped the table down with a wipe, it was more dirty than I would have liked. However, the place has been newly renovated and looks wonderful, so hopefully more thorough cleaning will follow suit. |

After reading all the reviews my wife and I decided to have a late lunch here. The place was pretty much empty but at 2 p.m. on a Saturday in an industrial park setting I was not surprised... but we were in for a few surprises! First off, the place is spotless... we were greeted by Bob as soon as we sat down and we ordered a couple of soda's and asked for a minute to scan the menu. I asked bob about the choices and what he would recommend. I got a bowl of what has to be the best chili I have ever had period. I also got the Texas BBQ sandwich. Kathy got a bowl of New England clam chowder which she did have to add some salt and pepper to, but that just means that Bob doesn't add a bunch of salt while cooking. She also ordered a chicken wrap... it was huge! I mean HUGE! And the fries were fresh... I mean they tasted like they were fresh cut... and again, no salt! Needless to say we are going to tell everyone about this place. Bob has some great Ideas about the menu and about some remodeling... great Ideas! The prices are low, the food is abundant, and is delicious too. Do you think we liked the place? Cant wait to go back and try the breakfast there. Good luck with the new staff! We wish you the best. Support your locally owned businesses! Try the food. |

Friendly staff. Chef Bob shows a genuine interest in whether you like the food or not. The other gentleman who does the baked goods (try the brownie w/rum sauce, and the cheesecake) is very personable. We find this to be a plus for any restaurant when that staff puts forth and effort to provide good food. This is our first year to try their lunches and have found them quite tasty. Give them a try. You will not be sorry. |

In the land of generic CRAP this place is an off the beaten path Gem! If you like over salted, canned or frozen food go anywhere else in Palm Coast. Bob loves this business and it shows in his food and service. Being in the business myself I hope to achieve all of the same attributes at my restaurant that Bob does at his. Take the drive and go there for the best Lunch in Palm Coast. |

I can't have breakfast without my coffee and unfortunately this place had the worst coffee imaginable. Service was friendly enough and attentive (especially as we were only one of two tables occupied) and the menu sounded pretty good. Regrettably, the food was not so good. The portions were large and the prices very good but it all tasted very heavily fried. We also didn't like all the doors open as it made the restaurant humid and flies were coming in. |

Read the review of Hargrove by the local glossy and went there. Must be another Hargrove Grille they visited. Time of visit: about 10am, for breakfast, which is advertised as the house specialty--served all day!
Ambiance: great if you enjoy a TV blaring away atop a bank of seven-foot soda coolers. This day they had a problem: bad reception. There ensued a melodrama that consumed much of the time we spent there, as first the waitress, then a customer, then somebody from back in the kitchen took over the remote. Finally, the somebody clicked to Judge Whoever presiding over two screeching litigants.
Food: Eggs and sausage for me. Sausage: links which might as well have had "Billy Bob" stamped on them--generic meat you could fry up better at home. Eggs: scrambled, pale, tasteless. Home fries: only good thing about this meal. English muffin: barely toasted. My wife had an omelet. Her verdict: OK, but better at Denny's. Ouch.
Quality of service: Handed two menus, asked 30 seconds later if we were ready to order. Asked for more time. Got it. About 15 minutes of it--even though menus were flat on table for 10 of those. Shift waitress left before we finished. Brought bill up to cash register. Waitress there informed me in a all-business voice, "An English muffin is extra with your order." Wasn't told this by waitress #1. Waitress #2, unimpressed, added $1 to bill.
That night spoke with some friends who were once in the restaurant business. They had a good experience at Hargrove on first visit. The second, a couple days before our visit: never shall return. "Why didn't you tell us?" "We wanted you to decide for yourselves." We did. |

Hargrove Grill is marketing itself as one of the best-kept secrets of Flagler County, and this is an understatement. Yes, the place seems to be located in the middle of an idustrial complex, housed in a warehouse-like structure with tattered chairs and worn, plastic tablecloths, but this is precisely the charm of the place. As soon as you enter, you know you're about to receive a home-style meal prepared by the devoted owner, and this is to say a lot among Palm Coast's often dull and passionless restaurants. The menu is huge, and I've never left disappointed. From all the other over-commercialized, impersonal franchises in town, Hargrove Grill comes as a breath of fresh air. |

We had breakfast. Food was good, atmosphere is okay, however, owner is SUPER nice. I would reccomend to him to use real creamer for the coffee and get better quality syrup. Will return for lunch. |

As you travel US 1 north and pass Palm Coast Parkway, take the next left and you'll find yourself in what I would say is officially, "the last place one would expect to find a restaurant". Drive a little farther and you'll see the sign for Hargrove Grille tucked away in this industrial business park.
Standing outside the door, I found it difficult to believe a restaurant could survive Hargrove Grille’s location and lack of visual appeal, but once I entered, I understood what prompted so many to recommend a review of this restaurant.
Nearly everyone is greeted at the door by Owner & Chef, Mr. Bob Allen, who makes rounds regularly to be sure everyone is happy. Everyone in the dining area seemed quite happy, indeed.
On this particular afternoon, I decided to try a bit of everything. Ribs, wings, burgers, wraps, and several sides... My company opted for breakfast, which you can get at Hargrove all day long. Everything was fantastic. There was no question that everything was made from scratch, just as it should be in a real country kitchen, and for the very reasonable prices they charge, one could easily eat there every day. The menu is varied enough to where there is no chance one will ever get bored, though if that should happen, we heard that the owner will gladly accommodate special requests.
All in all, Hargrove Grill, despite it’s location and appearance, was a very pleasant surprise. It is definitely one of the better country kitchens in Flagler County. Fabulous food, great service, and a genuine interest on the part of the owner make for a great dining experience. We give it 4 out of 5 stars!

My husband and I had a delicious breakfast on June 10th. The omelet was extraordinary and the french toast was fantastic. I found out about this restaurant on Flagleronline discussion group and decided to try it. Will definitely will go back and highly recommend this restaurant. Breakfast for two was $9 and change. Bob is the owner and chef. He was a chef in Ft. Lauderdale for 20+ years. He also mentioned that you can order anything you want, by calling a few days ahead of time, and advising him when you will be in, how many in your party, and what time you will be there. He normally stays open to 5:00 but if he knows ahead of time that he will have customers by calling, 986-090, he will stay open. |

This is our favorite place to eat in Palm Coast. Breakfast is excellent . you must try the french toast! Lunch offers great wrap sandwiches unlike anyone else has to offer. if your're really hungry, order their chili cheeseburger. it will fill you up for sure. Love , love, love the ribs. tender and great tasting.and if your're lucky enough to be there when brisket of beef is on the menu, order it. you won't be disappointed . Great place, Robert the owner is a fabulous cook. Everybody associated with the grill is very friendly. One of Palm Coast's best kept secrets! |
