I really don't understand the popularity of Steak N' Shake. I went inside to order because the drive thru line was so long. I was the only one at the counter but waited a long time to get served while staff complained about company policies and how the computers wouldn't track their hours correctly. Once I finally got served the food was extremely greasy and I could finish my sandwich. It left a horrible coating of grease and taste of fat in my mouth. The bottom of the sandwich was so wet with grease it just fell apart. I don't like employees complaining in front of me like that and combined with poor tasting food, I will not go back. |

Every time I have been to this Steak N' Shake, they take an extremely long time to get the food. It took me 15 minutes in the drive thru before! And in the past I was seated and NEVER even helped after that. My family and I left after about 17 minutes |

halfway decent food, although the burgers are surprisingly thin, but the price is rather stiff. The price we paid for a meal we could have eaten at a classier sit down place. Fries were incredibly thin...if you like that sort of thing. The shakes are excellent. Our advice would be to stop here for dessert after you eat somewhere else. |

Food has always been pretty good for Fast Food. Drive-thru is probably the quickest service compared to other places in the area. Always friendly staff. |

Steak N' Shakes service and food are awesome! It is such a treat to take the family there. We recently when in for breakfast and to our surprise the breakfast was just as delicious. The portions are good and the shakes are out of this world! Service is great. We had Alex serve us and he was phenomenal! He was very attentive and friendly and came over several times to check on us. |

The Steak N' Shake in Palm Coast is very clean, the atmosphere is fun and friendly. The food is delicious and the service is great. I recommend this Steak N' Shake. I have been eating there for years and every time I visit its great. |

Have visited Steak N' Shake numerous times in the past 6 months and has always been a wonderful experience. The service is always with a friendly smile or greeting, facility is very clean and the food is always top quality, prepared hot and delivered to your table quickly. For a healthier option, we now choose a fresh salad or the great tasting steak soup, instead of French fries and are always pleased. |

Eldrick just got back from Steak 'N Shake and has to praise the food and service. TJ the manager is a fast food legend in northeast and central Florida, and he has the Palm Coast Steak 'N Shake in tip-top shape. And those chocolate shakes are simply the best. Here's a tip, order the shake to go and get more and keep the cup. That's a deal. |

I took my son and parents out for burgers a couple nights ago. My son and I have had good experiences here in the past, but invariably, when I take my parents out to an otherwise great place, something goes wrong. However, our meal here turned out just fine; great burgers, fries, and milkshakes, we all had a great time. We did overhear that they were out of onion rings, which made us laugh - my dad had almost ordered those. Luckily, all was well and we will continue to visit. I do want to mention that every time I have visited, the manager appears to be on top of things and makes multiple appearances in the dining room - nice to see. |

The service was excellent. I rarely eat fast food but when I do I go to Steak N' Shake. My waiter was Cody, very friendly and clean, my wife and I were both surprised to see someone like him working there. TJ the manager seems to be doing a good job turning the place around. Very fast service, the store seemed to be really clean. Prices were decent as well. Overall the service and food was great, we'll be coming back! |

Pretty good fast food, albeit a little greasy. I just have one comment about the so called 'Chocolate' shakes. I knew the chocolate shakes were made with Carob rather than chocolate or cocoa because they had a taste that is in-between coffee and chocolate. Today, after another customer complained about the taste, I asked them if it was Carob instead of chocolate and they confirmed they use Carob.....that is definitely NOT what I want when I'm craving the real thing! Not sure how they can advertise it as a 'chocolate' shake. Tastes yucky to me. Oh well, what does a chocolate lover like me know.....I know when it's NOT chocolate! |

I have eaten at other steak and shakes before, but this is by far the worst. I ordered a patti melt sandwich, and it was SOAKING with grease. I couldnt eat it. The fries were also greasy and they need to change the oil in their fryer once in a while. |

This place is great. I got my food suprisingly fast and the waitress was great the place was very clean and the manager made sure all the employees were staying not goofing around like at other places. All my food was hot and delicious. I love the new milk shakes. I'll definitly be back |

I have been coming to this restaurant as long as it has been here and I happen to like the food there. I rate the food five star but the house keeping has a lot to be desired therefore the poor rating is based on that.Management take heed and restore to what it was two years ago. TLC. |

MMMMMMMM. Steak n Shake. By far my favorite restaraunt in plam coast (not just fast food) perfect for in a hurry or just plain hungry. This place gives you fast service, friendly staff, and great food all in the same place. Everyone should try the All American melt with the chili(best around) and a strawberry milk shake. MMMMMMM. |

7/22/2003 - The 3 new flavor of shakes are great! The banana in particular, mixes well with the old standby chocolate shake. Tony Jenkins ("TJ") is the top restauranteur in Palm Coast. Try the patty melt or chilli mac. |

Went to Steak and Shake for Breakfast yesterday (only because Perkins was Packed). I will say the waitress, Amanda was EXCELLENT. She was friendly and helpful.
I have only been in Steak and Shake a couple of times and only once before for Breakfast and that was in Daytona.
I see no reason to eat braakast there again. My husband had eggs, pancakes and sausage. The pancakes were doughy and the sausage WAY overcooked and dried out.
I thought the selection was limited at best.
I think probably lunch and dinner there are fine but just not breakfast.
Again, Hats off to Amanda, she did her job very well!

It is not Fast Food nor is it Gourmet. It is just plain GOOD. Good Menu, Good Food, Good Servers, Good Atmosphere, and it does not "Eat Your Lunch" - price wise.
As my Wife says "Ymm Ymm Good" - She orders 2 malts to go with her meal.

I have only had their take out and it was simply awful. VERY VERY greasy! The bun was soaked in grease and it was even pooled-up at the bottom of the bag. The sandwich itself was tasteless and the fries were nothing special. |

This is probably the best fast food in PC. It's clean and comfortable and service is prompt and coureous.
The burgers are certainly better than any of the other fast food restaurants and the "platter" items are good too (although I thought the chili was a little too soupy).
And as Eldrick keeps telling us...the shakes are the best (first time I've been cold since moving to PC).
Although real steak burgers, prepared to order and served on real china by actual wait staff may not technically qualify as "fast food", I would still rate this as an excellent fast food restaurant.
