Okay - i understand if you smoke but do you have to toss your butts on the roads while your driving.
Besides littering, starting fires and adding to the polution- whats up with that! Keep your butts in your car.
Thanks,

Smoking has no winners except the tobaco companies. For everyone else including the smoker and all around him, it's a complete loss and waste. I can't wait for the next round of taxes to put them over $10 a pack!

I agree - more beer cans, broken beer bottles are showing up near our streets than ever before, don't know if it's kids or who but it's littering all the same and dangerous too with all the broken glass. The fast food bags are getting out of control too, i think there the local workers tossing them as they get done... don't know but wish someone would catch them in the act...

Exactly! I'd like to see fast food take out taxed! The trash it generates from the slobs who eat there is disgusting. I'm not saying all who eat there are low class, just the ignorant ones who think it's OK to throw their trash out their windows!

It's all bad! Too much litter and lack of consideration for others and the environment.

All easier to see than the butts. The butts are there.

I think it would be great if FLA had a can/bottle deposit law. That would get them picked up or not thrown out the window in the first place. As for cig/buts I would like the same type of thing If you buy a pack you must bring back all the butts. Dumb I know just hate the slobs who drop them where ever they feel most of all at the beach.Smile

I agree that when I am out walking my dogs I pick up their poop, so why can't a smoker not leave their cigarette butts on the ground.  Actually, my dogs' poop is biogradable, cigarette butts aren't.

Telling someone to get a life, is telling of the poster.  Probably a smoker and offender.  Some of us care about the environment and want to preserve it.  SOme of us care how our streets and neighborhoods look.

SMOKING MANNERS 101...Put your butts where they belong!  Its common sense and socially expected!

Argh!   It amazes me how many smokers toss, flip, step or just extinguish in a planter their lighted cigarette butts.  People, walk the extra two step and use the appropriate container to contain your habit.  By the way, I have no problem telling those who don't cooperate with expected etiquette that they should.  If you are the couple outside of Target that had a problem with me when I told you to pick up the butts you tossed on the ground...oh well...bend over, you could use the extra exercise!

If you are concerned about the environment then just look at all the trash in the area, a cig butt is the least of the group. Sounds like just an anti smoker who needs to find some thing to occupy your time.

I occasionally walk around the neighborhood with a trash bag and pick up the rubbish, you might want to try it.

PS: I don't smoke but just get sick of those who go out of their way to complain about those who do.

You know I'm not a smoker and I do NOT mind if others are smoking because it is not my concern/care but I do mind if they do not have the courtesy and smoke right beside you while its blowing in your face etc.. especially if you were there first.

and there is a LOT of littering in PC mostly beer bottles, fast food bags, and cans... THAT is a bigger problem than the butts (until summer when the fires start) otherwise it's not too noticeable.

I am almost inclined to agree with you...

Someone who takes the time to pick up the trash certainly has my support, my girl and I walk the beach with a trash bag all the time...

BUT honestly...I would expect that person to also be reasonable enough to allow people to complain without insult in a forum labeled "Complaints Department"...

Seems like you're a glutton for punishment to actively read and participate in a forum written by people that make you "get sick.."

I've made that mistake of undermining the conversation with my own ego...

They wouldn't throw a butt out of the window if they were here for the fires. A couple of days ago I did tell a guy next to me at a light that he dropped something when he threw his butt out of the window. He acted like he didn't hear me.
