Who is good locally? I am thinking (really early stages) of a trip/cruise for my husband's birthday in 2011. I used one a few years ago but wasn't terribly impressed. Would prefer someone in PC but anywhere from St. Augustine to Daytona is also OK.

I've had good luck booking vacations on my own.
For reviews of cruises including ship, itinerary and excursions, join cruisecritic.com They have forums that allow you to ask questions and befriend fellow travelers.
For other travel, I rely on lonely planet and tripadvisor for reviews and opinions on hotels, activities, etc.

LETS GO TRAVEL is the best. It is right up by Joes Pizza near Taco Bell. They have booked cruises for me before :)

If you're good with the internet, there's plenty of sites. I was
disappointed with Let's Go Travel. We went there for info on our
honeymoon. Their information was completely wrong in regards to the
property and activities. We booked on our own.

i agree, ,use the internet..
Last year we took a tour to italy, researched it. talked to aaa, scoured the internet, but in the end to save money, we ended up buying our tickets thru Costco, they saved us like $700.00..

By the way, New Kid - if there is a birthday or other special occasion, let your travel agent or the cruiseline know - the lines may have special parties. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary - there was a honeymoon/anniversary party with live music, champagne and a beautiful cake (Celebrity). The other lines probably do something special too. I don't work for Celebrity, LOL
By the way, by all means, we use the internet, too. But some travel agents have access to group rates or cabins that you may not have access to

I called the store and they gave me the telephone number of who to call to buy my tickets thru..
i used Trafagular and ended up saving so much money going that way.. everybody offered the same tour but costco was the cheapest..
