Odd as it may sound, we were sent here by the pizzeria a few doors down in the same plaza??? We were looking for something casual so we went to Bruno's Pizza first. When we walk to the counter the girl told us that they were extremely busy and weren't taking any more orders? Then the pizza man apologized and told us to go a few doors down to the Italian restaurant which also had pizza. When we arrived we were seated very quickly by Jay the owner... very very nice man. The service was good and the food was great . We spent more money then we wanted but it was worth it. Will go back. |

This is the best kept secret in Palm Coast for PIZZA TOO! My brother visited from NY last week and we found the need for pizza. I had stopped here when I first moved into the area and had a good pie, these were awesome! They are price right and more important the taste was amazing. I cannot wait to get the chance to sit down and manga! |

Went there for the first time last week. The staff seemed unprofessional (joking with each other) we waited quite some time for our food to arrive, but we were only one of 4 tables in the whole restaurant. The pasta was way over cooked and the chicken was flavorless. The menu was lacking inspiration.. just the same old Americanized Italian food and it wasn't even good. I think this place may go out of business ... hopefully they will make some changes. The one good thing I can say is the decor is very nice. Cant recommend this place. |

Last night my family and I decided we wanted to eat a nice Italian dinner and chose La Benedetto's - it was a late dinner - past 8:00pm and there were 10 of us - we were promptly seated, our server took our orders and we were served fairly quickly for so many of us. The owner came by our table to ask if everything was OK - even though we closed the place down - we were never rushed. - all of our meals were delicious! I felt like I was sitting in my grandmother's kitchen eating her food. The decor was beautiful with paintings from local talented Hammock artists. The bathroom was very clean. We all give this restaurant 5 stars! We will definitely return many times for our family meals here. |

I stopped in La Benedetto's and had the best meal this side of Italy. I give three thumbs up! I live too far to go every week but I get there when I can. I don't really listen to negative reviews you have to see for yourself to enjoy. |

We heard some good things and bad things, just like in the other reviews posted here on this site. So we decided to check it out for ourselves! Poor service started at the door when the gentleman was more concerned with his cell phone call than with his customers waiting. It took forever to get a drink and even longer for the waitress to return and take our order. Did I mention we were one of three tables in the place? The menu was way over priced for the portions we received. The eggplant was soggy and the pasta very over cooked. The chicken franchese (what small piece there was) was oily and tasteless. I must mention that the decor was very nice and the art work fantastic (stop by and use their restroom sometime its worth the peek) I am sorry to say that I can't recommend eating here, we ourselves were extremely disappointed. |

La Benedetto's is the best Italian restaurant in this area! Had dinner there tonight and ordered the veal picatta... veal so tender I cut it with my fork! Very tasty. My friend ordered Chicken Cacciatore which was crisp...not soggy with excellent sauce. Even the salads were fresh with a zippy Italian dressing. The food is excellent...we have been here three times and it has always been wonderful. It only lacks a fifth star because the service is slow. The veggies and pasta side dishes took forever to join the main dishes. By the way, the string beans were fresh and not overcooked. Try to go mid week and the service should not be a problem. The decor is upscale for this area...you can almost forget you are in a storefront by Staples. |

Our first visit was very disappointing. Service was terrible. Salad took forever. Chicken cacciatore had more bones than chicken. Complained to manager but acted unconcerned. Had to ask for more bread & drinks. Will not go back or recommend. |

The food itself was ok, nothing special, a bit bland. Good wine for the price! My grandparents were from Italy so I expect a lot from Italian restaurants and know good Italian food. The pasta was so overcooked it was soggy. The Italian sausage had a grainy texture. |

This is a very good restaurant. The atmosphere is tasteful, the waiter was very professional and knowledgeable about the food and beverages. My husband had the chicken parm which was excellent, my friend had the veal and he also was very pleased and my friend and I both had the eggplant parm which was also excellent. The sauce is fresh and flavorful, the fresh grated cheese is a very nice touch. Their home made cheese cake is truly outstanding.
Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to take care of the customer. We all agreed that it will be one of our favorite restaurants in Palm Coast. We hope they will continue to do a great job. |

Well, My wife and I had been to La Benedetto's before and had gotten very good meals. I went last Friday night at about 8 and was very disappointed. They showed us to a booth which was fine.
The server was very slow. We had to ask repeatedly for drinks and bread and butter. The order came but my wife's order wasn't there. The kitchen had apparently forgot it, according to the server. Her meal came 12 minutes later. Ironically enough, ordinarily I would have sent the other meals back to be kept warm, but since service was so slow, I was sharing with her. Unfortunately, even our meals, which were supposedly fresh off the grill. were lukewarm.
Jay stopped at the table and we did mention the slow service. He just didn't seem like his usual self.
Unfortunately, all of us had stomach trouble that night. We won't be back and that is a shame. I think the restaurant has lots of potential but needs some tuning up. |

We had a wonderful dining experience here! The food was great and the ambiance was lovely. A family of cooks, we are picky when it comes to dining out. This place completely satisfied us! We have been there three times so far and have never been disappointed. Each time the owner came by to ask us if we were pleased. The staff was also friendly and attentive. It is about time we get a great Italian Restaurant in Palm Coast! We liked the Canoli's. They serve three small ones in one serving. They serve plenty of food so the portion of dessert is more than enough and satisfying. |

I've been here many times for lunch. The trattoria specials are very good and give you a chance to sample the soup, salad and many of a wide range of dishes for a very reasonable price. There is an attention to detail in every aspect of the restaurant: menu, decor and service. Very pleasant and enjoyable. One of my favorite places. |

Where to start. The man at the door seemed lost and lacked the ability to clearly communicate, One small loaf of bread for 4? As tables go, our four top was so small that four adults had no room for the multiple plates that came with each entree. The atmosphere was loud and congested. Why not have an accordion player adding to the volume...they did. As for the congestion, the tables were so tight together the other tables were only accessible by asking us to move. Ah now for the food. Although my wife was satisfied with her chicken parm, my veal was overdone and tasteless. The pizza was very good (see not all bad). For the dessert we ordered canoli. or should we say pinkie sized, true they did not even qualify as finger food. On the best side there was our waitress, very nice considering the working conditions. We will not return to this way overpriced establishment. As for those five star reviews, they must think Denny's is gourmet. |

Actually after reading all these reviews, I was a little disappointed. First of all, we call for a reservation for an early dinner because it was Valentine's Day. I was told that they did not reserve tables for groups less than 8 people. I couldn't quickly locate 3 other couples that wanted to share Valentine's Day so we decided to take a chance and meet there. Since we were early, I did get a table. About the time, I was ordering the wine, we were asked to move to a booth instead. I later noticed that "Jay" did that to several other people as the night went on. Kind of made you feel like you weren't as important as whatever he was preparing for. I understood why he did it (to group tables together) but it still put a little damper on the evening.
During the time there, we noticed a huge crowd gathering in the waiting area - while dinner here is good, its really not worth a 1/2 hour hour wait. Our server was excellent. Great smile and great attitude. |

My husband and I tried La Benedetto's last evening for the first time. WOW!. The Mussel appetizer special was outstanding. My husband Alfredo was the best and my Veal Pecatta was to die for. And, the "eggplant" spread for your "fresh homemade" bread was absolutely great. We are not big Italian food fans, but this was wonderful. And the service, OUTSTANDING. |

4 of us went there last Saturday and two of us are of Italian background meaning we speak Italian and have lived in Italy for a few years and know a lot about Italian cooking so with that said.....we asked the server if we had to request the pasta cooked "al dente" or would it already be that way, the server assured us the cook knew what he was doing and the pasta would be cooked properly. we ordered the penne pasta and the strange thing is that some of it was "al dente" but the rest was not and we did mention it to the server and she was nice and said she would tell the owner. other than that the eggplant parmesan was very good and the fettuccini Alfred was excellent, the breads we were told were cooked fresh daily and they were very good, and the cheesecake was the best I've ever had, atmosphere was great and on the night we went there was a lady singing for background music, someone else said they went and they had an accordion player, that would have been good too, overall I say it is a good Italian restaurant and they should keep doing what they are doing and improving on the some of the details, if they can do that they will survive, and I have to say that unless you are familiar with Italian cooking, you may not care about how the pasta is cooked but once you experience it the Italian way you will never want to eat pasta anywhere that does not do it "al dente". |

Although I was disappointed with the menu selection at La Benedetto's, the food we had was very good. The ambiance and decor are very pleasant and the service was friendly and efficient. I was hoping for a better selection of items instead of the same old Italian selections. I guess they are what people want, but I'd like to see something different. We have plenty of restaurants in town all serving the same menu and we really need a better selection. |

La Benedetto's is a pleasant surprise. If you like good home made Italian food, then La Benedetto's is for you. Good home made sauces top a nice variety of pasta's. Fusilli is cooked al dente. The mussels appetizer was exceptionally good... a full pound, clean and sweet served in a light tomato sauce. Don't pass up on the bread here as you'll need it to soak in the sauce. Try the home made sausage and peppers. The sausage is made on the premises with a true Italian taste and is tender and perfectly seasoned. La Benedetto's eggplant parmesan is really hard to beat. Tablecloths, good service and Jay's (owner and host) special touches only add to the ambiance. The restaurant is elegantly decorated with that old world charm. The mood is warm and Jay and his staff make you feel welcome and part of the family. Benvenudo La Benedetto's. |

Grandpa lives in Palm Coast & his appetite was not up for anything other than maybe a bowl of soup. However, since I live in Virginia, I thought I would just get on line and find a restaurant that would deliver a bowl of their soup of the day. To my surprise, NO ONE other than pizza joints offered delivery service! After calling over thirty Palm Coast restaurants I came across a new place called "La Benedetto's". I called and explained what I was trying to do for Grandpa and asked what the soup of the day was. The guy that answered the phone at La Benedetto's understood my frustrations and mentioned that his fresh soup of the day was stuffed peppers and agreed that although his stuffed pepper soup was awesome, what Grandpa really needed was his homemade chicken soup. The guy simply asked for my name & phone number and said he would call me right back. Sure enough, he called me back three minutes later and said he had asked the cooks to start a fresh batch of homemade chicken soup just for Grandpa. He told me that they had not delivered before, but he could make it happen. Within the hour, the soup was delivered fresh off-the-stove and Grandpa actually felt great the next morning. I called to thank the guy who answered the phone and find out how much we owed him for the soup, delivery, and superb service. His response was "call me 'Uncle Jay' and this one's on me". Then he said "I hope Grandpa feels better".
So, here is my review. Not only did Grandpa say the chicken soup was one of the best and truly authentic Italian soups he had ever had, but Uncle Jay sent him enough for a few days. The whole experience was almost unbelievable, We are so looking forward to meeting "Uncle Jay" in person when we come to see Grandpa during Spring break. Until then, I highly recommend that you give La Benedetto's a try...I'm convinced they'll tantalize your taste buds and warm your soul. I would also ask that you pass the word and tell your friends about La Benedetto's and "Uncle Jay".
It sure is nice to know there truly are still good people in the world that care about what they do! |

A group of five of us ate here Friday night. The atmosphere is quite nice and very comforting. Menu is extensive with enough variety for everyone. We all tried something different. There were no complaints and our fish, pasta, and chicken dishes were very good and plentiful. We had two appetizers, stuffed mushrooms (were not hot, but tasty) and first time ever on a menu here, stuffed clams, excellent! Service was slow but it was extremely busy although our waitress was experienced and knowledgeable. It was a pleasant evening and we all agreed... worth going back. |

We were in transit from NYC to West Palm Beach and just happened to spot the sign for an Italian restaurant-figured we'd give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. Never thought we could find authentic NY style Italian food on the road south. Felt like Little Italy. Everyone was super friendly and the food was excellent- generous portions and reasonable prices. If we are ever passing through again we would make a special visit just to try the excellent pasta sauce applied liberally . I understand this is a newly opened restaurant. I wonder how much better still it will be when firing on all cylinders; Bravo folks. |

The new people have done some great changes to this restaurant and it's now much more inviting and comfortable. The service was friendly and very good and the food for the most part was quite nice. My only complain is that I expect more creativity and variety. I am very bored with more of the same old dishes not done particularly any better. But if you're in the mood for traditional standard family style Italian dishes leaning towards "heavy" then this restaurant will deliver them well. It does have a comfort-food level to it! |

A++++ in my book! The new decor is very appealing, nice ambiance. An extensive menu, sure to please any appetite. Dinners were served piping hot. Best prime rib served in Palm Coast, excellent seafood as well. Unfortunately, didn't have any room left for dessert. However, many of the other diners did, and they looked FABULOUS! |
