My daughter and I ate there last weekend and I waited for a few days to write this review as I was very disappointed. I wanted to be fair and have a "cool down" period. After reading the reviews I thought this would be a great place to eat. No, it was not. Sorry, but I do not know how so many people thought this was good??? We love to go out to eat and are very picky but fair. We love Flagler Fish Company down at the beach!
We had 2 glasses of wine, I had 4 scallops on my plate and a very very small salad that was drowning in cloyingly sweet dressing that I didn't ask for or want on my salad but it came like that. My daughter also had the salad. Neither of us could eat it.
I didn't see scallops on the regular dinner menu but they were listed under appetizers as I think 3 scallops. When I asked the waitress if I could get it as an entree she said yes, they would make it as an entree. I asked if it would come with a small side salad and she said no, but that she would get that. Now I figured if I was getting and paying for an entree and a salad (no other sides!), it would be priced accordingly, but that I would also get a few more scallops on my plate. The small salads were delivered first and we both looked at each other after the first bite and both said it was terrible. Now, I am a firm believer that if you can't make a nice salad then the rest of the meal is probably going to have some problems. There was not even one small tomato or cucumber on the salad. Just wilted lettuce and loads of sweet italian dressing. I couldn't believe my entree as it arrived as I sent back my unfinished salad and the plate had 4 scallops on it. One more than the appetizer. My meal with small horrible salad and 4 scallops on a plate with a drizzle of a sauce and that is it, no sides, was 20 some dollars. My daughter had a chicken dish and said it was so so. It looked a bit dry and nothing special at all. After all this was supposed to be great food. Oh, and we ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was very greasy and left a taste of grease in our mouths. We were starving and did eat most, but not all of the calamari which came with a tomato sauce and nothing special at all about the sauce. If you want great calamari, go to The Cheesecake Factory. They serve it with 3 excellent sauces too!
The wine was a very small glass for 7 dollars and it was house wine.
We were at a small table in the way of the servers who were brushing by. Now that I will not complain about as we made a last-minute reservation and I don't care about that. I care about good food and decent service. The service was fine, but she had told the table next to us all of the specials and was at the end of a long table while doing so and when she got to us asked if we had heard what the specials were which we did not so she had to repeat them. We also had to flag her down when we needed something which wasn't much.
Oh, and the scallops had a very funny, bad taste. I don't think they were fresh. There were others around and I didn't want to complain as the waitress seemed rushed and didn't ask if we liked the food. Another time i may have said something but I hate to make a spectacle with others around and I hoped they were enjoying their dinner.
So, our bill was 70 dollars after being in there for maybe 30 minutes and having terrible food and very little of it! I actually had to eat when I got home! Oh, (sorry about all the ohs) we were served sliced bread with some garlic and olive oil on it, which just looked like slice bread dipped in oil and herbs. Not up to Carraba's bread and oil and herb dipping sauce.
I have to say, my daughter (23) said we could have eaten the same thing at the Mezzaluna's in the same complex and probably would have enjoyed ourselves much more immensely! WE love the atmosphere there and the food. And we wouldn't have paid such an exorbitant amount for dinner. Now, I don't mind spending money on a great dinner if it is just that, GOOD! But I hate wasting money on a lousy expensive dinner.
We walked away very very disappointed and will never go back. Actually I had been there when they first opened and did not like the meal but after hearing good reports thought i would give it another try. I am sorry I did and have to say there are many other places I would recommend first. Even Outback is more consistent with a great salad. What in the world does it take to make a salad with a few things on it other than wilted lettuce. and for that price?????? uggh. |

My husband and I were there for dinner this past week for maybe the 3rd time. Seems to get better every time we go...the food is sensational, the service is impeccable and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food received. 'This will be our special place to go from now on when we want more than the chains and more of the charm. The servers are so polite and helpful. I had never tried it before and ordered the Veal Saltimbocca ala Roma and it was melt in your mouth and so flavorful. Just a great experience all the way around. Since it's rather small, it's worth making reservations. |

I am from New York and live in Palm Coast now. This place is the best I have had in a long time with an exciting menu, great wine list and excellent service. Go out of your way to find this for a true dining experience! |

Good breakfasts! My Italian friend says their fritattas are very authentic. A little higher priced than many of the local places that serve breakfast, but the atmosphere and food make it a good place to bring friends or treat yourself to something special. |

Last Sunday evening was my first time at La Piazza. There were 7 of us for a birthday party. All I can say is MAGNIFICENT! The food was outstanding, the service was more than courteous, and the setting was truly European. The prices were well within range of the quality (and quantity) of the food. We tried some of the specials, and they were out of this world! The New Zealand rack of lamb with horseradish crust was cooked to perfection! One of our party had the Scampi e Scampi (shrimp and pasta with a lemon garlic butter) and another had the pasta with vodka sauce that was outstanding! All in all one of the most enjoyable meals we've had in Palm Coast in quite sometime! Thank you, La Piazza for making a birthday one step more wonderful! |

My wife and I, along with another couple visited this restaurant last night and were thoroughly satisfied with every facet of the experience.
The food was reasonably priced, was outstanding in quality and taste, and the service was very good. The owners, who are very much hands on and very appreciative of the patronage, are always around to ensure that your dining experience is pleasurable.
We also utilized La Piazza for our son's rehearsal dinner last November and we were extremely satisfied with the experience. There was nothing they would not do to make our experience memorable. In fact, my mother in law (who is from Italy) and almost never goes out to a restaurants is still telling us how much she enjoyed the entire meal. This endorsement alone, from my MIL speaks volumes if you knew her. |

The breakfast at this place is great, we had breakfast three times during our stay. Last week we tired it for dinner and had the best food during our nine week stay at palm coast, we'll surely return next year. The staff was excellent. |

I visit La Piazza on the regular. The service is always wonderful and the food is out of this world. Breakfast and Lunch are reasonably priced, dinner is a bit expensive (compared to other palm coast restaurants) But, that's exactly what you get when it comes to FRESH food and freshly prepared daily!! I took my family from NYC for dinner and they were impressed with the food, atmosphere, and service. I try to make it there at least once a month for dinner, and take out lunch all the time. |

I have eaten dinner at this restaurant several times. I eat breakfast there almost every Saturday morning with my buddies and sometimes with my wife on Sunday morning. From top to bottom the food choices and excellence in preparation and taste cannot be matched by any restaurant in the surrounding 100 miles. We go there because of the selection of unique breakfast and dinner items and specials that are second to none. The chef, Jason, is very obliging and will tailor/customize a food selection if one so desires. The owners are friendly, are quite busy running the place...but still will stop by and say hi. The wait staff are efficient, gracious and attentive. It's a very nice experience with an atmosphere that is cozy and friendly. There is a beautiful patio outside. One can enjoy a meal outside or inside...it's all good!! This place is so unique and refreshingly different from the run-of-the-mill pancake and bacon/egg restaurants in the area, I am sure you would enjoy it as much as we have. |

Came across this place by accident a few months ago around July 2008. As we approached the door we noticed it was closed for a few hours between lunch and dinner which is the usual for high end eateries in larger cities, but as we walked away a waiter(?) came outside and asked if we could wait the hour. After thanking them for their attention, but decided not to wait, the person came back and said to come in! I felt bad, didn't want to seem "Special" and every person inside was more then happy to accommodate us. I was blown away. The atmosphere is really classy/European and upon opening the menu I saw they offered a Caprise Salad (tomato, FRESH mozzarella, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc.) which is impossible to get north of Ft Lauderdale in Florida. Even though the prices were thought of at the time to be more similar to those in South Beach/Miami, upon seeing the portions and then TASTING them I was blown away!... even better then any haunt in Little Italy/NYC or even Ill Papparazzis on Ocean Drive, South Beach. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves, we shared two apps, each had the extra caprise salad, two glasses of wine, and three entrees, and I think it wasn't even $70. Considering the economy, where we live, the amount of food and Good GOD the FLAVORS!!! Its probably the best value and most impressive in our area! The desserts were incredible, but we were too full and tired after all that was given, in fact we had to order express to get us moving, which was authentic, made in a REAL maker, which I KNOW can cost upwards to $5,000-$10.000. Now that I'm back, I cant wait to visit, hope it hasn't changed!!...will let you know. |

My family stopped there for the first time on Thursday night and was surprised at how busy they were for a week night. The 3 of us ate for a reasonable price and the food was very good. We had a great waiter that appeared to be very happy to help with a couple of extra requests. We'll be back, it was nice. |

Took visitors there for dinner. Waiter, young adult, talked to us like we children, I'm only 62. Anyway the service was slow, the salsa was minuscule, and the entree was lukewarm. Asked them to warm it up and it still came back lukewarm. Manager asked how dinner was and I told him; didn't seem to care. We visit Palm Coast ever March for the month but this place is off our list forever.

Great Place! Went Saturday night for a late dinner (around 9:30pm) and the service and food was excellent! It could not have been a better experience. The waiter was very good, it was like eating at a 5 star restaurant. We had the eggplant meal and the lamb meal, along with a excellent bottle of wine, recommended by the waiter. Also, even the chef stopped by and made sure everything was good. |

La Piazza is our favorite breakfast spot when in Palm Coast. Their Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine are both excellent and my wife loves a French Toast type croissant with fruit that they make. This restaurant is civilized, yet relaxing, and its decor is very reminiscent of Europe. |

My wife, I and friends have dined in this restaurant a number of times. If you are just going for breakfast you a missing some fantastic and delicious dinner entrees. The service and atmosphere remind of dining in Manhattan. So far we have not been disappointed and have enjoyed our evenings here. Try the rack of lamb or the surf and turf both excellent. Bravo! |

We visited La Piazza for breakfast last weekend and it made a great change to the usual breakfast offerings in town. We had Eggs Benedict and an Italian Omelet. Both were very good and my only dislike was the coffee as I prefer a smoother blend. Service was also a little slow. |

I wrote a review last Aug. and gave La Piazza 5 stars... My, how a few months can change service! Sunday Brunch as suffered a huge service problem. I think the chef must have left, because the owner, Larry, is now in the kitchen. Boy what a difference!! It now takes 45 min. to an HOUR to get eggs!! Three times we have waited this long and although the eggs are still good...you loose your ability to want them after an hour. Today my husband received his eggs & potatoes with cheese and no toast....after three attempts to get toast it arrived white, instead of whole wheat and no butter. By then the eggs were cold. My daughter never received her toast. The women next to us were are upset as we were about the slow kitchen. In short this place is headed downhill, at least for Sunday brunch...don't go unless you have a lot of time on your hands to wait. |

La Piazza for Brunch is the best in Flagler County! We eat here almost every Sunday and they serve brunch until 3pm. Eggs Benedict is perfect, try it with a Mimosa and you'll feel like you are in heaven. The atmosphere is delightful, inside with the Italian Cafe feeling and outside under the trellis. This is a classy place and people get a little dressed up..as in Country Club Casual. The service is excellent, even with large parties of 10 there, we were served promptly. Eggs over potatoes with melted cheese is very good and the REAL Ruben sandwich is nothing short of awesome!! A Rare 5 stars!! |

A few of us girls went there for dinner on Thurs. night and the ambiance was perfect. We requested to be seated outside for the live entertainment of an Elvis singer. We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer, it was just perfectly tender. For the entree I don't remember the exact name of the dish but it had mussels, shrimp, and clams in a red creamy sauce (marina?) w/ linguine. It was absolutely delicious! This is one restaurant I can see my friends & I coming to on regular basis. Ohh and the service was very hospitable especially our waiter Tom, he was so courteous, attentive and sweet. I highly recommend La Piazza Cafe to friends and family. |

The food is great! The service was excellent. I was here with four friends for lunch on June 1st & we all had a pleasant experience. I had grilled chicken with mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes on crusty bread. The chicken was grilled just right and the sandwich had just the right amount of flavor and texture. La Piazza is inexpensive, has great atmosphere and having a meal at the European Village is a great change of pace from other Palm Coast locales. |

The food here is great! The service is poor though. Everytime we have been there, the food has been exceptional, but the service hasn't been. The waitstaff is nice, but very slow. We'll go back I'm sure, just not as often as we would if the service was better since we always go with guests. Once again, the food is aways great, and once you get it, it doesn't make the service seem so bad. |
