We left without being served. My boyfriend and I went to Hi Tulip yesterday morning for the first time. When we came in, they were busy, but there was one table available near the front. We were seated promptly... and then waited. For 15-20 minutes, nobody acknowledged us (although there were waitresses visiting other tables directly next to us - when I tried to get their attention, they ignored us). Nobody came by to get our order or bring us drinks. After 20 minutes, the buser stopped by and ask if he could get us a drink. My boyfriend ordered a coffee and I ordered the Bombay Breakfast tea - which is supposed to come with milk. It did not. We waited another 5 minutes - I wanted to get the milk that was supposed to come with the tea. When still nobody came by, we put $4 cash on the table and left. I never even had a sip of the tea.
Not your mama's cooking for sure. Eggs were served with running whites, raw, potato's ordered extra crispy, sogging, the toast well it's toast. Hard to mess that one up. Not really that good, just edible food.
Best Hot Chocolate ever, finally a restaurant that uses real milk! We all had different omelets and they were all great! Love the veggie selections! And they have goat cheese... Did I say how much we love this place? The Nutella and banana waffle my boys split is a must try... They kept telling me to get my own.
Not sure what the rave is out about this place. Upon entering we were left standing waiting to be acknowledges then told to just sit anywhere. After that server was good. Our breakfast was average. Quite bland and luck luster. I can definitely find tastier food at the beach plus this is on the other side of the bridge so lacks the Flagler atmosphere.
This appears to be a very busy little place. Stuck at the end of a strip mall it does at least seem to have some character once inside. We visited for breakfast and they have quite an extensive menu with options ranging from a choice of eggs Benedicts to pastries. I ordered an omelet which was OK but nothing special. The mushrooms tasted like they were canned, the cheese like plastic and it was under seasoned. However, my partner's pancakes were very good and plentiful. Coffee wasn't bad and the service was attentive and very friendly. Prices reasonable.
We go to Hi Tulip Cafe for breakfast almost every Sunday morning and get nothing but the best every time! The staff is friendly and the food is the best around.... Shrimp and Lobster omelet is out of this world!
