The view is outstanding, that's about it. The food is mediocre, corporate chain quality at best (although the restaurant is privately owned), particularly for their price points. I guess they are going for a funky "spin" on traditional food items. The result is food that is different, but not necessarily better. They just don't seem to quite get it right. There are better options in town for food and water views.

Bottom line, go for the view, not the food.

Very pricey for mediocre food. Limited menu, expensive kids menu. All very "tourist trap" stuff. Pricey beer too. Visitors will go there, but locals will try it once and go back to the Golden Lion.

You can't hear yourself think, and talking to your dinner partners is going to be hard when you can't hear what they are saying. I hate this in a restaurant. Haven't they ever heard of acoustics?

The food is okay, but not really a lot of variety when everything comes with french fries. It's a little over priced for most things.

Seats are uncomfortable and there really isn't much for decor. And broccoli coleslaw?? Yuck. Why not real coleslaw? Not everyone likes broccoli.

I entered the restaurant approximately 3 weeks ago. I brought a date, figured why not, new restaurant ,ocean view, should be good. I had ordered a burger and fries, she ordered the fish. The wait staff was outstanding! I really enjoyed the ocean view, however the food was funky as the name suggested! My dated refused the fish and sent it back. After she sent back the fish twice, we both decided to give it a thumbs down. Much anticipation for the completion to a big let down on the food. Food was prepared unprofessionally and the fries were not as ordered. Needless to say go for the view skip the food. We left felling funky and won't be returning for at least 6 months before trying again.

Many pluses, many minuses, most of which have been covered in past reviews. I must agree with what most people say: This place lives and dies by atmosphere. It is wonderful to see the ocean and the beach while one dines. The service on this particular day was quite good. We went during off-peak hours and the place was still a little busy. Our server was courteous, helpful, and kept us well-hydrated.

The food, on the other hand, was at best ok. Nothing special. In fact, grease ruled the day. Fries were pedestrian. Napkins were sparse (no, we did not eat these). Music did not contribute to the mood / atmosphere. I am a Eurythmics fan, but at a beach setting? A little out of place. Change the station to something "beachy." Add more "ocean-ish" things to the walls. And add to the menu; charging a premium price for ordinary offerings is not the best idea in the world.

Will we be back? Probably. Location means a lot and so does the good service we received. But go for the trifecta with superior food too!!! Would we recommend this? There really should be a maybe option....or depends... I will put yes with a "please read the reviews."

Had a party of 4 and came in for late lunch 021313 wanted to try the new remodeled place...The interior is very nice, and the view out the windows and the deck are super. The decor is nice but not amazing, they could use a decorator. The tables are nice but the chairs are not very comfortable. Now the food..that was something else, we had the grilled fish sandwich, the blacked cod meal, a fish Ruben, and scallops. The fish sandwich was over cooked, the fish was dry and had no taste, no salt or pepper or any garlic or anything on it..the bun was like a super market bun, I did not eat it. The Cod had too much breading on it and had been overcooked also, was very dark brown..no flavor, the broccoli slaw was OK, but the ice tea and the lemonade was some sort of powdered mix...only 1 type of iced tea..was Paradise tea, and did not taste good, most places have regular tea or sweet tea, and real lemonade. The Ruben was not tasty, It seems nothing is seasoned for some reason...corned beef did not taste like anything..The french fries come with everything it seems..not even as good as fast food. Would we go there again...NO. We live in town and Palm Coast. There are too many other great places to eat in this town. The prices were high, for the type of food offered and menu is limited. I would not recommend this to friends or family. So management might want to take another look at how and what they are serving. The servers were all around, but none seemed to really know what to do, At one point after we ordered, were told that the kitchen was backed up and then proceeded to wait for over 30 min. before our order came up. So on a scale of 10....we give it a 9 for the view...and a 2 for food and service. Don't think we will be back any time soon.

i ordered a Monti Cristo. It was served with so little meat and cheese i could barely see it and the cook had the nerve to make the sandwich with the crust of bread.

Went for the first time and was not impressed with the food. The atmosphere and service was good and I love the view. The booth benches could use a bit of padding. As far as the food I had a combo of scallops, shrimp and haddock with fries and broccoli slaw. There was plenty but I guess the deep fried food doesn't agree with me and I'm not a big batter fan. The fries were just OK and the slaw was the best part of the meal. My wife had a funky chicken combo with two shrimp. She usually never complains about any food but came away saying that this is one place we won't visit again and didn't care for her meal at all. It's unfortunate as I think they have fixed the restaurant up very well. It was very full so they must be doing something right. Just not the place for me.

Went on 1/19/13 for dinner, entree's in our party included a Cheeseburger, a hot dog, a Rueben, Fish N Chips, Jamaican jerk chicken and a combo of fried shrimp, scallops and Haddock. The Fries were nothing special. The Main courses were excellent and there was plenty. The Tiger Sauce (cocktail sauce) was OUTSTANDING. The Service is EXCELLENT. The entree of Jamaican Jerk Chicken was served over rice. The gentleman did not eat the rice. He did not complain, but the manager noticed it and came over and discussed it and immediately took it off the bill. He was polite and professional; he noticed a problem and took care of it. Impressive to say the least! The Desserts were pricey, they had peach cobbler which was a little too cinnamon for one guest, so her husband ate it and loved it. The cheese cake was gone pretty quick too so it must have been good.

We went for Breakfast on 1/2013, again the Service was EXCELLENT. My coffee cup was always full (this is a big deal for me) and a Big old Pet Peeve when this does not happen. Its breakfast and its coffee I want my cup full. The bacon and sausage were delicious. The French toast was cold and the pancakes were not totally a little on the rare side. We are definitely keeping in mind that this restaurant has only been opened for 2 weeks and breakfast can be tricky. We got there about 15-20 minutes after they opened for breakfast. I noticed that people that came in after us, their pancakes were a little more done. I would love to see something like Eggs Benedict on their breakfast menu.

Will we go back ABSOLUTELY. The decor is cute, service GREAT, dinner Wonderful. The pricing on the menu gets your attention because they are odd numbers. I thought it was Funky and cute.

I would say they have storage issues. On the way to the dining room and on the way out to the deck they have stacks and stacks of boxes of beer and other things. Perhaps they could not have that stuff as it takes away from the decor. there but this is where we are at on it.
