We order take out all the time. Food is always good and the lunch menu is a great deal, more than enough for a dinner. We have tried all the Chinese restaurants in the area and always come back to the Oriental Garden.

The decor could be updated but don't let it stop you going in here .The Pu Pu platter was superb, no grease, very tasty and plenty for 2. I had prawns with cashews and couldn't finish it all. The service was good - in fairness it wasn't busy but it was a chilly night in Dec and the bill was $40 inc tips and drinks for 2. This is a great place to eat - go you won't be disappointed.

Here is what is very good here and when I say good I mean better than all the other Chinese restaurants in town. 1. Steamed dumplings (full of meat and juicy/not doughy or short on filling) 2. Wonton and house soup is the best around (they use real chicken broth (you can tell when its real because the broth isn't yellow). Just FYI, yellow wonton soup indicates fake broth, usually from a bouilloun cube. There soups here are the best in town. I would go here for soup...don't order soup from any other Chinese place. The entrees here that are great are as follows: Pork Egg Fu Yung (I always order sauce on side) huge portion and the flavor is very good. 2. Mu Shu Pork here is fantastic here (best in town). Good plum sauce they give you too!!! You wont be disappointed. 3. Shrimp and lobster sauce is very good too. Plenty of shrimp and sauce is flavorful. Chicken and Garlic sauce is good. I tell them no sweet sauces; because, every once in a while a cook in the back adds different sauces based on what region they may be from and I don't like this dish sweet. I prefer spicy. I have found that many Asian places add sweeteners to their sauces and I don't like that so I am in a habit to do so. It's not spicy enough for me so I tell them extra spicy. The hot mustard that goes with the egg rolls is great too! I don't know why these other reviewers are bashing this place. This is the only sit down Chinese restaurant in town that you can actually get real service. IF you want fast food Chinese get take out. This place is the real down, best in Flagler county!

I went here a few times with some friends for lunch a year or so ago and it was ok. However, I went there twice recently for dinner and both times the service was really horrid. Long waits for menus... then even longer waits for food.. .and long waits for a waiter to stop and see if you needed anything.. .so long a wait for the check and a box I got up and got my own boxes and took them to the front cashier. Others in the restaurant followed my lead. I don't know what is going on there... but they have a real service problem! I won't be back.

This place has been here for many years and it's starting to show. Service can be hit or miss but food is usually good. It's certainly not the best Chinese in Flagler but I used to like it as it was one of the few you could actually dine in with service. However, it's become worn down and the dining room seems more like storage area lately. Boxes piled around, kids doing homework and cook coming out the back looking very grubby.
