I had my family in from up north this weekend. I have been ordering from Mezzaluna's for YEARS and I always brag about it to my family. I was so excited for them to try what I believe to be the best pizza I have ever had!! I ordered various dishes, but the pie I was most excited about was the large half buffalo chicken and half supreme (the works) pizza. The food arrived, and to my dismay the half of my pizza that was supposed to be supreme was just plain cheese! I of course understand that people make mistakes, but I was upset because my family was really looking forward to the supreme pizza. I called to let them know about the mess-up, where I was met with an incredibly rude, "Well, YOU told me you wanted cheese. " I asked for a manager, and the manager apologized and said she would send a supreme pizza my way. I thanked her and hung up. I had to wait an hour for my next pizza, so in the meantime we ate what we had because we were all starving! Once the pizza boy got here, I took my pizza and as I was about to close the door, HE ASKED FOR THE OTHER PIZZA BACK!! Are you kidding me? I was absolutely disgusted with how tacky this transaction was. handled, and I called back to tell the manager so myself. (He CLAIMED to know nothing about it, yet he still could have been a bit more apologetic.) I have worked in a restaurant for years, and I would never complain like this unless I experienced something absolutely atrocious. The staff working tonight should be ashamed of themselves, because they just lost some incredibly dedicated customers. I wouldn't be caught dead associating myself with such tacky service ever again.
