My family and I have been to Sammy a few times and there always seems to be a problem (missing food, the wrong food, or cold food). The food isn't anything special, very bland and tasteless like it comes from a can or power. The owner seemed very rude. Every time we go there all you can hear is the guy owner/cook yelling in the kitchen loudly at his staff. Then he comes out in the dining room talking loudly to people, wearing a under shirt, looking very unprofessional and unsanitary. The waitress's were nice and helpful, and that's about the nicest thing I have to say about Sammy. We gave it a few tries and it's been atrocious every time. Won't be going back.

The service and food are always great. Love the home fries! Restaurant is always clean and pleasant atmosphere. We stop in at least once a week for breakfast. Pricing is most reasonable and portions are generous.

Just a wonderful restaurant with some of the best biscuits and gravy on the First Coast. I've had the pleasure of eating here several times and I do not hesitate bragging about them :-)

The price range I chose includes a tip so you can eat here on the cheap and get some good ole southern ( Boston???) cooking... LOL

The food was OK. i have been there a few times now and the service is usually very good . The prices are misleading when you add 20% to the bill to tip the owner i have never heard of such a thing must be a northern hoodwink. Also we are in the Florida but does the cook/owner have to wear a wife beater.i would go back if my tips were going to the hard working wait staff who have always been very wonderful to me and my family and not on to my bill.

Very good place to eat when you have a lot of people to feed. We always order from here on the weekends, and usually pick up our order, and we've never had any problems! Very reasonably priced too which is nice! The owners are super nice and also very welcoming! Highly recommend.

I'm starting to go there so much I don't even have to order and my food is already being cooked. I love the family atmosphere and even tho we don't have money to spend out all the time, find that it is a place my whole family enjoys on weekends. When asking my kids what they want for breakfast and getting Sammy J's as your answer.

The place is always packed certain times of the morning. I've eaten then quite often.and never been disappointed with what Ive ordered. If I were I'm sure if there were something that I didn't like the girls or Harry would be on thee spot to correct things. It's very easy to speak up don't just sit there and attempt something you don't like that goes for anywhere. The service is excellent and it 's a great place to set and wake up with all the coffee you can drink. God gave you a voice use it they won't be offended. Harry and his wife and girls are great as just friendly.TRY IT AGAIN .
