Driving along A!A our friends and us were hungry so I suggested Turtle Shack which they had not been to. When we drove up, our friends were a little surprised at the looks of the place (using Shack in the name is a good indication); but we sat down and our waiter (Danny) came by to ask if we'd ever been there before. When we told him that our friends were new, he went on to explain the menu and how they are known for the great burgers and crab cakes. Two of us ordered the Blue Cheeseburgers and two ordered the Mahi-Mahi tacos. WONDERFUL is the only way to describe the food.

Our friends were impressed by the friendly service, the size of the portions and the taste of the food. They definitely agreed that this is the place to go on the beach when you want a good meal so while the atmosphere is lacking, you can't beat the service and quality of the food.

My family lives in Flagler County and my wife came across the Turtle Shack one afternoon with the children. They bragged about the place so much I had to try it for myself. My wife and I decided to go there one Friday evening for dinner. We had a short wait but I expected it due to the size of the eating area. There was live entertainment by a gentlemen playing an acoustical guitar, (Frank) a beautiful view of the ocean and the smell of fresh food on the stove. We were waited on in no time and placed our order. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. I have never had a hamburger that good and big in my life. We routinely go there for the great food and entertainment.

I have been going to the Turtle Shack for over five years. Today I went for lunch and ordered the fried clams. When my order was delivered it contained ten clam strips, some of which were less than l inch long. I asked the waitress if the small amount of clams was correct and she said yes, but that I could order more. For $8.99 I expected more. I've been ordering fried clams at numerous restaurants for years and have never gotten so few. Based on this and a previous experience, We will not be patronizing them any more.

I haven't been here for a long time but stopped by on a whim last weekend and glad I did. It has definitely improved over the past couple of years since I was last there. We were all very happy with our sandwiches and burger and the service was very good. Will make sur eit's not so long between visits next time.

Huge Hamburger!!! HUGE! And delicious too! We decided to skip the craziness that was taking place at Golden Lion on Friday night and drive north to Turtle Shack. The only problem with this place is, if you blink you will miss it. Atmosphere is slightly cramped, but live entertainment and great service and awesome portions make this first timer want to go back for more! At first, I was skeptical of the prices until I saw how much bang for your buck you receive. And despite a large party of people at one table, food was delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

We have been going to the Turtle Shack Cafe for years, and we were very pleased when the new owners re-opened the restaurant! They removed all of the tacky decor and replaced it with hard wood floors, a granite bar, and many other classy touches but it still has the casual, beach-side feel it always did. Then menu is mostly the same, which includes many vegetarian options, as well as the best burger in Flagler County. There are some great additions to the menu, including an elaborate and carefully crafted beer selection. The staff is always very friendly and extremely accommodating. We go there often, and not only have we never had a bad experience, nor have any of our friends or family that we have brought. Great food, drinks and atmosphere!

I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner tonight with my sisters and daughter. I used to like it a lot and hadn't been since it re-opened. This was the worst decision I made all day! It was not a very busy Wednesday night; there were about 5 tables when we got there. It took 20 minutes for my daughters chicken fingers to come out, which I ordered with the drinks. It took another 10 minutes for the caprese app and we were waiting a total of 1 hour and 35 minutes for our meals to come out and all we had ordered was 2 fried fish dinners and a salad.

After an hour and a half I went to the counter and asked my waitress how much longer we would be waiting, she went to the kitchen and came out with the food right then. I stayed at the counter and asked another young waitress if I could speak with a manager and she said that she was the manager. I told her about our wait and she told me that it is a small kitchen. I told her I had never waited that long before and she said, "there is only one fryer what do you want me to do?" I was very upset by this and told her I had chosen to go there go a nice birthday dinner and have been waiting around with a 2 year old baby all evening. To this the "manager" replied "at this point what do you want me to do" I told her I would like to speak with the owner and she said "that's me" and I said "you are the owner and you are talking to your customers this way?" And she said "well I am one of the owners" I am not sure if she is the owner's daughter or what the deal is there, but this person obviously has no idea how to run a business.

The table that came in 20 minutes after us was till waiting to get their food when we left. A table came in about 20 minutes before we left and sat at a dirty table or 10 minutes while both girls working walked by them at least twice without getting a drink order or even clearing the dirty cups from the table; these people just got up and left.

Needless to say I was too upset to even eat and we left hungry. I like to support local restaurants instead of going to the big chains, but somewhere that doesn't value their patrons does not deserve to be open.

This is listed as a seafood restaurant but seafood is not very prominent on their menu. However, I did have a good mahi sandwich in there which was tasty and filling. Fries were excellent! It's a simple shack type restaurant similar to the home style restaurants found throughout the Caribbean. Prices a little high for some items. Service was efficient.
