My wife and I like going to Ruby Tuesdays for both lunch and supper. On one occasion (several months ago) the salad bar was a mess even though the place wasn't crowded and there was enough staff to clean it up. I wrote a letter to the corporate office and someone called and thanked me for notifying them and assured me it would be resolved. Now when we go we find the salad bar to be managed better with someone cleaning and re-stocking. As for the meals we've NEVER had a bad meal there. We've ordered several chicken, steak and seafood items and have always been pleased with the food, service and atmosphere.
Stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar. Girl behind bar was friendly and service quick. Had the Green Bean appetizer which was excellent and a sandwich. Would like a better beer selection especially how so many of the other restaurants are offering a much larger selection of craft beers. Overall though, a good lunch.
They do not always open on time, leaving many customers in the burning sun waiting to open at so called 11am? We have eaten here several times, as there is not many places in the Palm Coast area to eat. The biscuits never are ready to serve, so days they are not even ready and we have eaten and left. Salad bar is very good. The chicken bella is half the size of the other Ruby Tuesdays we haven eaten at in Florida. Honestly is is OK, but not the best one by far.
Ordered a burger, medium. Received the burger with fries. Started eating the fries and by the time I cut into and started on the burger, the bottom bun was saturated with grease and blood and running on my plate. Showed the wait staff and they apologized and said they would bring me a new one. After a while, the on-duty manager returned with my burger and informed me that there was nothing wrong with the first one. It was my eye sight and the lighting in the restaurant made it look rarer than it was. Not very intelligent to say the customer is wrong and the establishment you work for is at fault. I asked her about the soaked lower bun and the blood on the plate after I cut into it and was told she never saw any thing like that. To tell a customer that he has bad eye sight and then lie about seeing it on the plate is just crazy. The wait staff was fine. The young lady who greeted us was excellent. She has been there when we were in before. Very nice. The lady manager.... what a waste!
The steak here is a swing and a miss. Ordered steak twice in two successive visits and both times it was a mess. The first time it was almost raw. Second time it was stringy and rough. Yikes. If it is on the menu, please learn how to cook it properly. Waitress was extremely sick; this is also not an isolated incident. Maybe I have terrible luck here, or maybe Ruby Tuesday's has just gotten this bad. The salad bar was the one high point...but it's a bit difficult to mess that up. Atmosphere is nice, but looks like it is struggling to achieve an identity. I might return, but it will be awhile. A long while. I definitely would not recommend until things change... a lot.
