Twice Martin's management has refused to honor advertised price of steak special in newspaper ad. Warning, diners take ad with you if you expect to get that price. We will not go back.

This past Saturday night 12/22/12. The food was excellent and the service was great. The prime rib you could almost cut with a fork . The portion's where huge. And we were very satisfied. Martin's still remains our favorite place to eat!

For 10 years we were big fans of Martins, but our last two visits, about 2 months apart, our experience was bad. My wife got baby-back ribs, my brother in-law and I got prime rib. It all used to be so good, but these last two visits were really bad. Don't know what they are using for baby-back ribs, but they are awful and not like any baby-back ribs I have ever seen. The medium well prime rib was way over cooked and mostly all fat and bone. We are really sad about what has happened to our favorite restaurant. The waitress and owner were both informed, but no solution was offered.

The worse prime rib I have had. Needed a chain saw to cut it. Service was mediocre at best. Replaced prime rib with another steak. Not really any better. Cheap meat?

Went there tonight with in laws and our 3 kids. we went for the prime rib mainly as that is what my husband was wanting. it looked,sort of busy, but we were seated right away. not bad for a party of 7. our waitress commented several times on the politeness of the children. that was very nice to hear. she was good. refilled drinks non stop (my kinda waitress) and also bought my husband horseradish and horseradish mixed with sour cream. two kids, husband a fil got prime rib. that was amazing small child had regular portion which was huge. i mean really huge. husband and big kid had king size which looked bigger than the prime rib I get at home for the whole family. my other son got the crab legs. i didn't try them but he seemed happy. also i did have a bite of husbands prime rib. it was tender and tasty. unfortunately i had the crab cakes. they were runny. really wet and runny. underdone? not put together right? I'm not sure. there were four. i ate the two hush puppies, but ate one of four crab cakes. we asked about texture. she said they were supposed to be that way. i couldn't eat them... and now it's 2AM and I'm up dizzy and nauseous. I am thinking something was wrong with them. I never really complain about anything at a restaurant unless i find something that doesn't belong in my food... but the crab cakes were inedible. If u go there do not get them. oh..and this review done from my phone please forgive shorthand and typos :)

Took some friends to an early dinner Wednesday 15, August, our three meals were just delightful. Cooked very well and presentation lovely (Shrimp scampi, Broiled Mate Platter and Fried Mate platter). Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. We were so happy, we are going back today. We live in the south part of Daytona, so it is quite a distance. I'm glad we tried Martin's before we read the reviews, we may not have made that journey to Flagler.

We ordered 3 entrees as take out tonight after having a decent meal at the restaurant over the weekend. My husband and son ordered the fried platter (the "big boy" seafood extravaganza). Upon digging into their food, we discovered a disgusting, possibly raw at the very center fried clam. Both entrees were equally disappointing. The clam was runny on the inside to the point where I would call it raw. The oysters were unappetizing and raw at the center. Their crabcakes were a discombobulated mess; it was wet, runny, and raw. It was sickening. I took pictures as evidence because you would have to believe it to see it. Yuck!

Regular cut steak was sent back 3x's before it was cooked the way I wanted it. The Mate Seafood dish was really under cooked plus they upgraded me to the next higher cost plate. One of my sides was slaw, which I didn't get and had to ask for. Very disappointed. If you are going to charge "Higher Prices" then I would expect a lot better quality food, something I can really brag about.

We have been going to Martin's for about 10 years and go there about 2-3 times a year. They have recently updated the flooring, painted and generally updated the entire place. The food has always been good, never had a bad meal there. The overall service has been good. The times we go there in the evening they are generally busy, but still the service meets our satisfication. Some friends of ours were there RV'ing for the weekend and saw a lot of people going in so they tried it, and they were very satisfied with everything. I only wish they would update their website by putting the menu on the web.

My family and I have been eating at Martin's for at least 11 years. This evening we had the worse service, the food was cold, no fresh rolls, butter was spilled on the broiled mate's plate, which is my favorite. I was very disappointed for the second time. I was embarrassed we had a visitor with us from Indiana who was looking forward to Martin's due to our recommending it as a relaxed, Flagler restaurant. The older waitress was so cranky, not even a smile for the 3 year old with us--or anyone else in our group. Management needs to address this sad situation.
