Good place to dine and listen to jazz. Food is always good and staff are friendly, but the owners could be more people friendly, I have been coming here for over a year and they never say hello. |

Our first time was for lunch... and this time was for dinner. Great experience... very good food! We tried their Grill Platter Sampler.... which had spiced sausage, grilled chicken, two cuts of steak, and pork... with veggies and mashed potatoes. It comes on a huge platter that barely fits on the table, and is supposed to feed two... but trust me, it could feed FOUR! Well worth $34.95! Our server was Melissa, and she was great, too. Two thumbs up, all around...!

We had a group of six and ate dinner at Bourbon Street for the first time. It was a Friday evening. The place was decorated beautifully, the music was just right for us, not too loud and pleasant for our experience. All of our meals were very tasty and cooked to perfection. Our friends were glad I made the choice to go there and I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants great food and nice music. The owners were very attentive to the surroundings making sure all went well. We had a wonderful waitress who checked on us several times throughout our dinner. |

We've been to Bourbon Street Bar and Grille many times, and not once have we been disappointed! The food was always amazing, especially, the stuffed flounder! We never hesitate to bring people to try it out. This restaurant is BY FAR palm coasts best restaurant. Bourbon Street is great for a nice dinner, with nice entertainment, and atmosphere. I would highly recommend anyone, and everyone to try this place! |

Bourbon Street headed in the wrong direction. It was only 6:00 pm and the dinner hour had just begun and a traditional Louisiana restaurant had NO red beans and rice. The place was not full - yet we could not get the waitress attention. Dirty dishes were left on the table and we could not get refills for our wine.

I went to dinner with some friends at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill the other night. And, as I have experienced in the past, it was good. Nothing more, nothing less. It is simply good, NOT great, but not bad, average.
I have eaten there quite a few times with some friends of mine whose daughter works there.
I have never had a bad meal there, but never a great one, either! There are simply better restaurants in town... and yes, some worse ones.

Is Bourbon Street headed in the wrong direction? We ate there on 3/25/08. We had guests from out of town and we thought Bourbon Street would be the perfect spot for a fine meal. Wrong! We happened to arrive early so our guests ordered from the early bird menu. My friend ordered the fish and chips and to our surprise we were told that they had no flounder therefore no fish and chips. They both then ordered the Chicken Oscar. I ordered the Grilled Mahi Mahi which was fine, but for my side I ordered the traditional Louisiana red beans and rice, but I was advised that they were out of red beans and rice. Wait it was only 5:30, the dinner hour had just begun and a traditional Louisiana restaurant had NO red beans and rice? My wife ordered a Garden Chicken Salad. Oh, and we were advised they were out of Ranch Dressing? Bottom line the Chicken Oscar was tough as was the chicken on the Garden Chicken Salad. Not once did anyone ask if we had enjoyed our meal. Just as well for them, because we did not. We probably won't go back. Next time we'll head south to the Bonefish Grill or Stonewood Grill. Maybe someday we will get a decent restaurant in Palm Coast. |

My husband & I had a nice dinner there last Saturday night. While it was good, I wouldn't say great. For example, my husband doesn't like alfredo sauce so with the special he asked for garlic and butter or oil sauce and was relieved when he was told no problem. However, when it came it was just oil no garlic. He couldn't eat it, so we just left it behind. My dish on the other hand did have garlic sauce, yumm so I shared what I could with him. His dish was about $22 but it really wasn't worth it. Mine was $18 and it was ok.
Other than our dinner taking forever to come out, it was a pretty pleasant experience with the music and all. We did have a little bit of a hard time getting the server for drink refills but not awful. It's worth trying again sometime - maybe down the road a bit. |

After seeing all the great reviews, we decided to give Bourbon Street Bar and Grill a try last Sunday evening. We had a wonderful time and a couple of super dinners; I had the Lemon Chicken and My husband was hungry for some Alfredo and ordered the Chicken/fettuccine dish. Just delicious, and the service and presentation were great too. The portions are very large and will make another dinner for us which makes the prices even more reasonable. The atmosphere is very nice and if they start putting a little liquor in the drinks, they'll be worth the price too. All in all, very nice, very good and we'll be back for sure! |

The food excellent, the service is great every time we go there. We have never been disappointed. We have taken out-of-town friends and everyone has enjoyed what they ordered. The live music wasn't loud, either. We really enjoyed the songs they played. One of our friends celebrated her birthday and we were so surprised with cake and champagne toast they served at our table. What a great experience. Thank you. |

This past Saturday was the first off night we have experienced at Bourbon Street. There was a strange feeling to the atmosphere. Service was just okay. She was very polite and pleasant, but just didn't get the timing right. We got our salads and in three minutes our appetizers were out. Within two minutes of that, our entrees arrived. The food was good, not as good as it usually is. I think the bad timing made it worse. We will be back...it's one of our favorite places. |

We have eaten at Bourbon Street many times and it is much better than when it was Troy's. We usually go with 4-6 people and have never been disappointed; however, we find that the music is too loud. With a group of 6-8 people we are usually seated at the front of the restaurant (near the entertainment) and every time we have to ask them to turn down the speakers because we can't hear the waiter/waitress or each other. Portions are more than adequate and the atmosphere is nice but they need to lower the music until later in the evening (after they stop serving supper). |

The food was very good but stars lost for the poor service. The restaurant was not busy and yet the wait was long, we had to keep requesting refills and the server would disappear all the time. I hope they work on the service problems because with this quality of food it could really be a 5-star restaurant. |

My husband and I just moved here from South Florida 2 months ago. For our anniversary we always go to a 5 star restaurant, of which there are many in South Florida. We decided to try Bourbon Street and we were delighted! The food was excellent. The portions were generous. The server was friendly and attentive. We have found our new 5 star restaurant here in Palm Coast and plan to frequent this establishment often. |

My wife and I had a lunch here and the food was excellent and we were both surprised how good the flavor was. The service, however, was very slow. It took over 20 minutes to get our appetizer, and apart from a couple at the bar, we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant. The server would disappear making it hard to get drink refills and the manager type lady was outside smoking. When she returned she couldn't stop coughing everywhere. This was off-putting. At least smoke out the back instead of the front. The food here is very good and with improved service it could be the areas top restaurant. |

My only complaint is that the service was slow. I have limited time at lunch because of work making this unsuitable in the time I have allowed. I'll be trying for dinner though soon. |

My husband and I have now visited Bourbon Street three times. Each time we were pleased with the portions and presentation of the food. In fact, the portions are more than adequate. The first two visits were uneventful, however, our visit last night was not so great. It was obvious people were having a great time with the new piano bar, but it diminished our dining experience. The music and singing was so loud that we couldn't hear the waiter telling us about the specials. We couldn't hear the waiter no matter how loud he shouted. We only picked up bits and pieces of the specials. My husband and I were unable to have a conversation and had to shout to say anything.
My steak (petite filet) was very good, tender and cooked just how I asked. My husband's stuffed flounder was not as good. The crab stuffing tasted like fishy bread and was mushy. The flounder was also "fishy" which isn't the way flounder is supposed to taste. My guess is that it was previously frozen. It was also drowning in goopy sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes are tasty but somewhat gummy - something that happens when potatoes are over cooked or over processed. The steamed vegetables were fine. The bread was fresh but boring. It was a sliced white baguette with hard butter in a plastic cup.
I'm sorry we had this experience because we probably will not be back. With the prices they charge, it simply isn't worth the risk. |

We had dinner tonight and were very pleased with the quality of food and the quantity. We had the stuffed flounder, the redfish and the Captain's platter. Everything was excellent. The garlic mashed potatoes and the mixed vegetables were very tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back. My only complaint is that the menu lists red beans and rice and it is NOT what I expected. Their red beans and rice is not even close to the normal Louisiana version but their version is very tasty in its own right, although there was not a red bean anywhere in it. |

My husband and I came to try this place out a friend had told us about. Well I wish had never told us to come here its a waste of money. I had the prime rib special and it was under cooked and I tried it any way and it had no flavor at all. The vegetables were cold and the mashed potatoes were not that great. My husband was not impressed either. The only thing I liked about this place was the drinks and the entertainment. The waitress and busser were very pleasant to us but we will not be back. The chefs need to be retrained or replaced. Very very disappointed. |

Needless to say I will never eat there again and would caution everyone when trying Bourbon Street. Numerous people I know have had the same experiences and more and more people I meet say the food is not the best and most of the time it is cold. |

My husband and I met another couple for lunch last week at the Bourbon Street Grill. It was highly praised by our friends but I must say it was added to our list of "Life"s Bitter Disappointments". We arrived at 12:30 to find two large groups who seemed to be served by the two servers who were doing the best they could. We placed our orders for black & blue hamburger and 3 fish sandwiches. We all asked for a double order of coleslaw and no fries. They ran out of slaw and brought us fries. Our orders were served at 2:00 and we left at 2:30. Too long to wait for lunch and food was just mediocre. What a Disappointment. |

We were at the Bourbon St Grille last night and had a bad dining experience. There were three in our party and the restaurant was full. But I dare say with the good reviews this place has received it should be prepared for a full dining room. We were seated in the back at an open table and a member of our party kept having to duck his head for fear of getting hit on the head with a passing tray.
We were seated, the restaurant was busy and we were left at the table waiting. Finally the server came and took the appetizer and drink order. We were kept waiting for at least half an hour at an empty table between the appetizer and main course with no one returning to ask for another drink order or to let us know what was going on with our dinner. Looking around I saw many tables in the same situation waiting for their dinner. I was even asked how long did we wait for our dinner!
The meal finally came with an apology - but the vegetables were luke warm, the fish was over done, when it was asked to be rare to medium. Pepper was asked for and forgotten. The server stopped back to ask if we needed anything and by then we were half way through our meal and didn't think we would get anything we ask for anyway. |

Uhm, ok, WHO ARE WRITING THESE REVIEWS?! Hubby and I decided to try this place and it was a joke! Dirty plates and empty glasses stayed on our table all night, how annoying. Secondly the Oyster Trio was ridiculous ($13.99 for 12). My hubby and I are foodies, we dine out a lot, we know good oysters. The "trio" was the same sauce all over all the oysters and 4 had spinach on top? My steamed vegetables were nowhere to be found in my entree ,as described on the menu, but there were a few tablespoons of chopped tomato on top, so maybe that was them? $17 for an entree that isn't anything like what is described in the menu and includes no salad? HA! If this place has the freshest seafood/ best tasting food you people have ever had then your missing out! We would definitely not return. This is far from fine dining! |

This was by far one of the most pleasant surprises in dining I have had in Palm Coast. The seafood I ordered was the best I have had in 18 years living in Florida. My scallops and shrimp were succulent and very tasty as was the flounder. The side dishes stood out as well, especially the whole baby carrots that were sautéed in maple syrup and brown sugar with a splash of cognac. I could have eaten a bowlful! The wait staff were wonderful, very knowledgeable, very pleasant and not at all hovering. Bourbon Street should set the standard for dining in Palm Coast. Cannot wait to go back and experience it again! |

FOOD CRITIC REVIEW

Palm Coast Lifestyles Magazine Food Critic Rating: |
|
|
|
Tucked in a plaza on Utility Drive, Bourbon Street Bar & Grill is one of Palm Coast’s culinary hot spots. True to its namesake, Bourbon St. is a great place to satiate that craving for crawfish, or gumbo, and with live music and an extensive wine list, there is nothing utilitarian about it.
The second you walk in the door, you forget you’re in a strip mall. Musically inspired works of art settle into the softly lit warmth of the faux walls, and the only notable ambient sounds are those of skillfully selected jazz, and others enjoying their evenings.
A hostess arrives and leads us to our seats, an out-of-the-way booth, just as requested. She smiles and leaves us with our menus and a wine list. After we settle in, our waitress makes herself known and takes our orders.
My company and I started our meals with Jumbo Baked Stuffed Clams, Peel & Eat Shrimp, and Fried Calamari. The appetizers were delivered promptly and almost too hot to eat. We sat back and slowly enjoyed what would be a wonderful evening out.
The staff at Bourbon Street all seemed to know exactly when it was okay to check up on us, or take the next part of our order, which consisted of the Shrimp Etouffe, and the 12 oz French Quarter Filet, medium rare. With the Shrimp Etouffe, it is possible to substitute your shrimp for crawfish, so my company decided to have her order half & half. And my Filet was perfect! I will say that I prefer my rice pilaf a bit stiffer than it was on this evening, but it was still satisfactory.
Bourbon Street has a full bar, so we made sure to "have a few" during dinner. Martinis tend to be my preference, so I ordered one dirty. My company had a sea breeze. Both were well crafted. Later, when it was time for a second round, the bartender, noting my preferences, offer me something special. A Caramel Apple Martini, which is apparently a Bourbon Street creation. As strange as it sounds, 15 seconds into your first sip of this copper-colored apple-tini, authentic caramel flavors emerge. An interesting cocktail, and perfect just before desert.
Most would argue that their bread pudding is the best desert on the menu, and it may be, but on this evening, we ordered an intriguing chocolate cake filled with molten chocolate, served under fresh whipped cream, which wasn’t on the menu. "Glutton alert!" After the large portions Bourbon served up all evening, I really didn’t have room for this bit of chocolate heaven... I ate it anyway!
In short, Bourbon Street Bar & Grill has everything. Attentive courteous staff, great food, a well staffed and stocked bar, extensive wine list, live entertainment, your choice of inclusive or reclusive seating, and more. We are proud to award them 5 stars.

This is a GREAT place to eat. The new owners care about their customers. The wait staff is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The food is delicious. What more can you ask for? The only thing I would change is the time the entertainment starts. I realize that most people enjoy eating in peaceful surroundings. So do we. The last time we went, entertainment was scheduled to start at 8:00. We sat through 45 minutes of tuning instruments and just couldn't wait any longer. Perhaps, the owners would consider booking a piano player a couple of nights a week. Piano music is mellow enough for background music through the dinner hours. That way, earlier diners could benefit from the entertainment without staying past their bedtime. We saw a great pianist at the Shark House last Friday night. His name is Kenyon Dye. The owners should try him. Even if nothing changes, the new owners are doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work! |

WONDERFUL! I was so satisfied with the Bourbon Street Bar and Grille (it is our new favorite place to eat) that I had to write a review. I was starting to lose all hope in Palm Coast that we would never find a decent place to eat, but this restaurant has put my mind at ease. For the excellent service to the incredible meals it was 10 stars in my book. I had the Crab Stuffed Flounder and it was exceptional all the way from the Flounder to the vegetables (the best sting beans I've ever eaten and I don't even like string beans) and my partner had a steak which was at least 2 1/2 inches thick with the best flavor. I went there after reading the incredible review from the food critic in Lifestyles magazine (we will be using his advice from now on). We are so excited about this restaurant and will recommend it to everyone we know. Thank you so much for such a wonderful evening! |

A friend and I dined at the Bourbon Street Bar & Grill early on Saturday evening . We were both disappointed. My friend ordered the seafood platter; the shrimp was overcooked, and the scallops and flounder were both extremely undercooked. The undercooked seafood was clear, and gray in appearance. The garlic shrimp that I ordered were supposed to be deveined, but a third of the order was not. I dislike eating dirty shrimp. The flavor was very good. The served deducted $6.00 from my friend's tab. The service was good, but we found the food questionable. We probably won't be back. They were not busy since we were early; that would not be an excuse from the chef. |

I must say the new owners at Bourbon Street definitely make every one of their customers feel like family, they are the nicest group of people in the PC dining arena, and the food is fantastic. I can only wish such a great group of people the very best of luck with this new fine dining experience, and if you go in on Miss Patty's Karaoke night Wednesday, you may just see the youngest of the group their 9 year old daughter singing her heart out, she is talented. Enjoy because I do every time I'm there. |

As a merchant seaman, I travel a lot and get a chance to frequent and eat out at various restaurants in different countries. My experience at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, ranks up there with
the finest places that I have eaten at. It is a joy to come home to Palm Coast, relax, and frequent my "favorite" place where I get a great meal, a nice glass of wine, and get to meet some of the friendliest people from Palm Coast and sorrounding areas. It's a place to make and meet new friends. After a GREAT satisfying meal, one winds up at the bar and conversations are plenty with strangers who suddenly become friends. IT'S A GREAT EXPERIENCE and my THIRD home away from home... My ship, my house, and, BOURBON ST. BAR & GRILL...Hey, any chance on
having "SINGLES NIGHT" at this place where a SINGLE gentleman such as myself can meet SINGLE ladies for "Wine, Dine, and CONVERSATION"?
P.S. DID I MENTION THE BREAD PUDDING??? WOW!!!
DID I MENTION FRANK AND VICTOR WHO MAKE YOU
VERY WELCOME??? Ask for them when you go there
and tell them "MARIO SENT YOU"! |

We went back a second time, the same week, it was so good. The salads are fresh, the gumbo had just enough bite but not too much. First night out I had the grouper with mango sauce. Very creative and VERY delicious. My husband enjoyed the beef saying it was fork tender and perfectly medium. The appetizers were shared by three and were a perfect amount. Second time I had the crab stuffed chicken caruso. The next day I made crab cakes out of the stuffing there was so much left over and chicken salad from the leftover chicken. Certainly I got my money's worth. Ask the bartender for a hurricane, the perfect drink to accompany the delightful atmosphere. And don't forget desert. Yummy |

This is a very nice looking place. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive.
We began with a bowl of Gumbo, it starts off mild and just as I was about to ask for hot sauce, it gave my taste bud a spicy kick. it had just the right amount of heat.
I ordered the Blackened Chicken Breast with mushroom and crawfish sauce over rice pilaf. The chicken was excellent, it was moist, good texture and the blackened seasoning was quite tasty. The mushroom and crawfish sauce, however, didn't have any flavor at all, it was very bland... even after adding salt, pepper and Tabasco. It was also watery. This made the rice pilaf underneath it soggy. The sauce detracted quite a lot from an otherwise excellent chicken dish.
My friend had the stuffed fish. It was excellent, very well prepared and had a nice flavor. The smashed garlic potatoes was declared "the best ever".
A two piece band had just started as we were about to have desert. The keyboard and drums duo played pop oldies from the 70s. It made good background music. It was pleasant and didn't distract from enjoying our dinner and conversation.
For desert, we ordered the warm bread pudding. It was very good, it had a very nice rum raisin taste to it. It would've been more than perfect if a couple of scoops of Haagen Daz's Vanilla ice cream had topped it. They said it serves two... it would've served four more than satisfactorily.
I had was a very good dining experience and I'd come back here again.

Nice atmosphere and the place looks a whole lot better. Food was great (I had the stuffed flounder)... great wine selection and my waiter, Dan, was very nice and attentive. The live music on Friday is a nice touch and a much needed place to enjoy a nice night out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! |

New and Exciting!!!! Recently 10 of us gathered for dinner here and were treated to one of the most beautiful evenings we've had in a long time!!! The food was wonderful, the service exceptional, and a visit from the chef at tableside made the evening complete.... give it a try and you'll be back, just the way we will be. |

The food was great, do not change the chefs. Service was good. The server I had seemed a little frustrated but did a great job. The entertainment on Friday night was also great. If I new that they were open I would of been coming sooner, because the sign was gone and they were not open during the day , maybe a little more communication with the public. Over all this place is great! |
