I stopped by this restaurant one day back in April for a quick sandwich to take to beach. I could not believe my eyes when I opened it. It was huge. I got a chicken sandwich with so much meat and toppings and the fries were awesome. I will always go back there. I have to try there dinners, heard they were great. |

All we can say is go to the fish market in the back and check our the kitchen. The house salads and coleslaw were sitting out the day we were there and so were the flies. The odors were overwhelming. The fish in the case looked spoiled so we didn't buy any. Aren't these restaurants inspected by the local health departments? |

We are in Palm Coast for a month every year. During this trip 3/08, we have been there four times, three times with other out of towners. All times the staff is friendly and the seafood is excellent. One couple from Safe Harbor called back later to ask the name and location again as they will pass by here later and want to return.
Their seafood choices are outstanding and does change depending on availability. The Tuesday special is exceptional for the price. Linguine with clams are outstanding. Recommend to all. |

I've been in town for an event from Huntsville, AL and was hoping to find good seafood here. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be found! The Fishermen's Net was the first place we visited and although the service was good and friendly, our food didn't perform well. It was quite bland and not very well prepared. If unidentifiable fish and Old Bay Seasoning is your thing then you'll most likely enjoy this restaurant. |

We ate here and was not impressed at all. Service was less than mediocre, and the food was rather bland compared to what you can get for the same price down at Boston Fish House in NSB. No where near the quality you would expect from such a snobish establishment. Do yourself a favor and avoid if you're looking for a nice pleasing dining experience. |

My husband and I did the Tuesday night special. Although we arrived at peak time, after 5, we were seated immediately, with a view of the ocean. It was standing room only within 30 minutes. We both had the Tuesday Fish Fry special and some wine. Service was excellent, as always. Fish was perfect. And more than enough per serving. Our bill was under $20, so the wonderful waitress got an extra good tip. |

My family and I ate at the fisherman's net on 8/4/07 and we had really bad food. My wife ordered red snapper broiled but it was dry and really way over cooked and rubbery. Myself and son had what they called flounder but it was pollock or halibut or some other substitute fish. it was grainy and flakey and anybody that eats flounder knows its not like snapper or course meat. I talked to the waiter and he insisted it was flounder. The manager came over and she insisted it was flounder, too. I fish for flounder and clean and prepare flounder regularly and I can tell you that it wasn't flounder. I paid full price for a terrible meal and I will never go there again. It used to be a really nice place to eat but they are cheap cheap cheap and they have been given bad reviews several times in the lifestyle magazine for Flagler County. |

We love "Crazy Sundays" at the Net. We are now on a regular basis with other couples, because we love the menu. Their weekly specials are wonderful, too. Gwen and George are the absolute best.. Our favorite servers... Julio & Theresa, but all of them are the best compared to other restaurants. The Net do a great job of training their people and it is obvious in how they treat the clients. All of our friends agree, if you want really great sea food, its Fisherman's Net. |

Ate at Fisherman's Net today. We, a party of 7, arrived at 5:30 and were seated right away, although business was brisk. The crab dip and crackers were brought out right away which was good but not great. We started with conch fritters and calamari, both of which were excellent. Rolls and salad were next. We had both Greek and house salad, both above average. There was a long (too long) wait between salad and entrees. For the entrees, two of us ordered the early bird broiled shrimp and scallops. Both felt the scallops were good, but the shrimp were small and a bit tough. One of us had the Chilean Sea Bass which was delicious. One ordered the pecan encrusted mahi which was excellent as well. The fried catfish was not prepared with cornmeal as expected, but regular breading and was not good. One ordered the fried shrimp and enjoyed it & one child ordered chix fingers. The sweet potato fries were delicious, as well as the coleslaw. We were too full for dessert. I would definitely give The Net another try if I were in the area. The food was good overall and the prices were reasonable - although I might not feel the same if 1/2 of us had paid full price instead of early bird prices! |

This was one of my favorite restaurants in the area and I was very disappointed to read in the newspaper that it had the most health violations in Flagler. Some of them were unacceptable and I really hope they learn a valuable lesson and resolve their issues, because it can be a wonderful place to eat. Customers deserve more respect than that! |

I came here with my boyfriend and his family for dinner and the experience was ok. The waitress was nice and accommodating. The bartender, however, despite her age, was unfamiliar with how to make simple drinks. She was quite intimidating so I kept my drink oders to a minimum. The food was good-I orderd scallops Parm and it was decent. Overall if you want a casual, no-frills restaurant, this is a good choice. Don't expect exceptional bartending skills though. |

My girlfriend and I stopped in at the Fisherman's Net this evening for the early bird special. The food was great and the view was awesome. Our server was very cordial. The homemade blue cheese dressing was very tasty. My meal was $7.50; that is a bargain. It included the complimentary crab dip with crackers and a salad served with hot bread. |

FOOD CRITIC REVIEW

Palm Coast Lifestyles Magazine Food Critic Rating: |
|
|
|
Fisherman’s Net looks just like any other beach side eatery. One expects the atmosphere to be casual, the food to consist almost exclusively of seafood, and the decor to be somewhat careless.
My company and I walked in and were seated right away. The decor was indeed somewhat careless in execution, though not in sentiment. Nautical motif was evident throughout, from nets, to glossy repros of fish on the walls. The place is a bit dark, in a rustic sort of way, almost as if it were intended as a hunting lodge for fishermen. There was no Jimmy Buffett on the stereo, or anything tropical about the decor, and that was refreshing.
We ordered a dozen raw oysters to start while perusing their rather extensive menu, which surprisingly, offered plenty of fishless fare. Our decisions were not going to be easy. Meanwhile, our waitress brought over the crab dip, compliments of the house. The dip was great, though my company was a bit put off by the individually wrapped crackers that came with it. Our platter of oysters arrived in a few short minutes, gloriously cold, and full of that fresh, yet pungent aroma of the sea. The oysters were, indeed, fresh, though a few of them were simply too large, and probably should not have been served. We finally placed our orders: Baked Chilean Bass from the specials menu for my company and a New York Strip Steak for me. The choices of sides extended beyond fries or chips, and some were downright creative. My company opted for sweet potato fries, and I got the rice pilaf, both options we are not accustomed to seeing in beach side casual spots. Another surprise was the option of a greek salad with dinner instead of the ubiquitous garden variety. As our salads appeared, I was glad I opted for the greek, as the garden looked just average: a heap of iceberg, a roma tomato and a few slices of cucumber. The greek salad, however, showed up sporting a nice selection of greens, olives and feta.
As for the entrees themselves, my company’s bass more than made up for any shortcomings of her salad. The fish was heavenly. It was tender, and sweet and flaky, and the only complaint is that it disappeared all too fast. My steak was cooked as ordered, a perfect medium rare, and that, too, is a rarity in these mostly seafood places. Seasonings were right on, and the meal left us both utterly stuffed and satisfied. Throughout our dinner, the service was accommodating, yet not intrusive, and we felt neither rushed nor ignored. All in all, a very good experience.

Started out nice and pleasant, went downhill from there as far as service. Food was pretty good, huge menu selection, decent prices. Service is what got this restaurant to 2 stars. Our waitress was not that great, somebody else actually brought our food, another girl picked up our table, another person brought the check. In other words, it was hard to find "our" waitress if we needed something. The one thing that really annoyed me was my drink was empty and wanted a refill. It took at least 10 minutes for our waitress to be close enough to us for me to ask her for a refill. When I finally did get the request in, I waited for another 10 minutes, and when she finally did get back to us, she just asked us how everything was without my drink. I was too angry to argue, so I just paid the bill and left. |

Best place in the area. Fish is the freshest at any restaurant. Doesn't smell fishy as some other places. They are busy, but that is the price you pay for having a good product. Some of wait staff could be trained better. Reasonably priced. All our out of town visitors are also very impressed. Keep up the good job. |

We first went to this restaurant after just moving to Palm Coast from New Jersey. It was recommended to us from our realtor. Well, I must tell you that after that first visit, it became our family's favorite. Their little "appetizer" (which comes at no cost when you are first seated) is a delicious beggining. Then their food is not only reasonable, but DELICIOUS. I have yet to pick something that wasn't great. They also cater to the kids. Needless to say, we are NEVER disappointed and if you choose to go there, we're sure you won't be either! |

An embarrassing and overall poor experience. Had guests with us...waited aboiut an hour for food...fish and meat WAY overcooked, fish was not fresh. On top of that, we had barely finished our meals when the manager asked us if we minded vacating since they still had people waiting to be seated...even though we had not even finished our after dinner coffee. I was appalled, but we lefty courteously never to return again. This place is NOT worth the wait nor the expense. Gop to Stella's for a much better fish dinner or lunch. Or, even JT's. Fisherman's Net lost it when they moved from the old location. |

The service was top notch, my drink was never less then half empty and our server was fast and friendly. The food reminded my girlfriend of the Bahammas. I was pleased that the minute we walked into the door we were we were seated and our server was ready to take our drink order. This place has the best crab-dip!, it comes out with your drinks, this will tide you over till your food comes, "Which comes a very short time after your salad!" The inside of this place was clean and well kept. We will be dinning at the Net again!

Our most recent experience at this resturaunt was good but not excellent because the prices are higher than reflected by the price keys displayed for this resturaunt. I believe the price keys should be upgraded one notch.
There is certainly nothing wrong with the food or portions, preparation or presentation, service or cleanliness. The staff is friendly and efficient. We would eat here more often if it were not for the prices. |

The food was fine, the portions generous, the service was good, the prices were just a bit high, the place was clean. My wife had the coconut shrimp and enjoyed it very much. I had the belly clams which were also very good although a bit too much breading. We shared an appetizer of Cajun oysters and they were delicious. We would have rated this resturaunt excellent but for the excessive breading and the somewhat high prices. |

A gem of a find; great value; shrimp special and fish fry are "super"; good service; lovely ambiance; nice views of the ocean |

When I moved to Florida I expected to find great seafood all over the place, but I'm yet to find anywhere worth while. My neighbors recommended the Fisherman's Net and I was not impressed at all. The food was over fried and service "rough". The restaurant was also unclean. |

I have tried this restaurant twice, but this restaurant does not have anything special other than location and the view of the beach. Low prices before 6PM, but the quality of food is just not there. Service was average. |

My wife and I decided to give this place another shot... and it started out fine until I went to the bathroom... I went in expecting a nice pleasant bathroom and I was SO wrong. It smelt like Big Foot's privates and it was dirty. I will NEVER go back there again due to that experience. |

We were very disappointed with our visit. Cold entrees.... and the shells in the meal. The waitress was rude and we left. Thank God McDonalds was on the way home! |
