Wow! This place looks like a hole in the wall but has great fresh seafood right out of the case with excellent side dishes. We came from the beach and found a great place to have a cold beer and lunch . I was also impressed with their wine selection. |

Not only are the fish dishes innovative and fresh and not your usual "fish and fries", the daily specials are noteworthy...if you are ever dining at The Flagler Fish Company and they offer a "surf and turf" special, DON"T MISS IT...the most tender filet of beef tenderloin cooked to perfection and a bonus of either king crab, lobster or other fresh seafood and side dishes that are worthy of attention... staff are friendly... owner is on premises most of the time... diners are friendly.... a great place... extensive wine list... enjoy! |

This place is great! Very talented chefs and innovative cuisine. The menu is always changing and I appreciate that. The place is small, so I hope they will expand soon. A bit pricey but well worth it. One of the best restaurants in the area for sure! |

We hadn't been here for a while so thought we'd see if anything had changed. Nope. Nothing has changed and that goes for the taste of the entrees - they all kind of taste the same. This place is very average. |

Where to go on "girls night out" (which often includes husbands) each Wednesday is usually put to a vote... and 4 out of 5 times we eat here. The menu is vast, the fish is always fresh, the sides are great (especially the asiago potatoes and the green beans), and the desserts are too good to be true plus the staff is friendly and efficient. We've been eating here consistently for a year and we've not been disappointed.

I am so sad to write this review because when I first ate here it was great. The owner has been consistently friendly and concerned of his patrons. His staff does not share this feelings, however. On Memorial Day I stopped by to get fresh fish for a cookout, and another customer ahead of me was doing the same thing. The young man taking her money commented about the amount of take-out orders he was dealing with that day and then told the woman who was buying fish, he was glad he was not working for tips. Well, I have to say I am glad he wasn't either because he deserved nothing. The last time I ate there, my fish had been severely overcooked. I was in late at night by Flagler's standards, so I chalked it up to that, because the chef was also cleaning while cooking, and his attention to my expensive but unfortunately not worth it dinner. I said I was sad because I enjoyed this place so much the first several times I ate here. And last but not least, the waiters should not "play outside" and get sweaty then come back in and serve. That is just wrong! |

LOVED IT! We went there at the last minute for an early supper with our two young children. Glad we got there before 5:45 since the place filled up quickly! Excellent, attentive service and food. Portions were generous enough to have lunch the next day. Really friendly and child-friendly as well. Highly recommended. |

My family and I have eaten here for dinner several times. We came in for dinner, and enjoyed it so much that whenever we have out of town guests, we bring them for dinner as well. The service has never been very good, but the food, and the menu options definitely make up for it. We love the homemade potato chips that are brought to your table when you arrive, and the fish dip and clam dip are making my mouth water as I think about it!!! The best thing about this restaurant is the fresh fish options, as well as your cooking options. You can get nearly any type of fish you want, and get it fried, broiled, grilled, blackened. I love the stuffed red potato side dish. The red potato's are mashed and stuffed back into the core with asiago cheese-to die for!! I cannot believe that anyone would be dissatisfied with the food. Like I said, the service is usually lacking, but you forget all about it when you taste the food!! I would like to see the restaurant grow to accommodate more seating because we have seen a line forming if you don't get there early. |

This restaurant is far from excellent. As soon as you enter you're greeted with a very fishy smell. There was staff behind the counter and out on the floor but none looked up and just left us standing there. It wasn't even full so we ended up seating ourselves. I guess this confused the wait staff as it took forever to finally get "in the system" and get our drinks. Food was mediocre and not particularly high on flavor. For the cost of the meal, the ambiance, service and more importantly, the food, need to be improved a great deal before I'd return. |

My husband and I have lived here since 1999, and spent the first two years looking for good seafood that was comparable to the gulf in quality and freshness. We found a couple of places in St. Augustine and pretty much gave up here in Flagler Co. I had read about the FFC online here so we were finally able to get down there today and try it- cute little place , friendly folks in there at lunchtime , reasonable prices for lunch as well. We asked what was fresh on a Saturday and found out that all the fish had been filleted this morning - so expectations were high to say the least. After looking in the case, we chose an amberjack dish with asparagus and mushroom salad , spinach, and a tilapia sandwich with peppers, fresh lettuce and tomatoes and it was ALL delicious. The amberjack was fresher than I have ever had, even on the gulf, and prepared blackened, and was just wonderful. The sandwich had huge chunks of tilapia cooked perfectly - our other family members had shrimp ( huge, beautiful and very sweet) and other fresh catch fish dishes. Everything was delicious!!
We spent some time talking to the owner of the place before we left- he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This area needs more places like this one- we will recommend FCC to everyone!!
One negative thing.. and ONLY one.. there WAS a fishy odor we noticed when we walked in. With fresh fish, that shouldn't be the case. Fresh fish smells like ocean, not fishy- which was why we asked what was fresh. I am GLAD we stayed and took a chance on this new little seafood place- it was worth it. |

I've visited this restaurant twice now and I still can't quite see what is so great about it. I found the food to be average and the service, although friendly, no better than most places. It is far from fancy and not very comfortable. Dinner was better than lunch but for the price (Expensive) I'd rather go to Daytona or St. Augustine and get much better for less. |

After hearing good reviews of this restaurant I was looking forward to trying it, and I finally had the opportunity today for lunch. The building is much nicer inside than it appears outside, but it was quite daunting from the moment we walked in. We were never greeted and I had to finally ask the guy behind the fish counter if I should just sit down anywhere. Service was slow at best and the food took forever to arrive. As this was a working lunch, I could not possibly visit again in my lunch break at such slow speeds. Once the food arrived, I was very disappointed. For $15 I had a very plain no frills lobster sandwich. It was small and was basically lobster meat on a hot dog bun with a pickle on the side. Drink refills were slow too! Overall a very disappointing visit. |

Food Preparation - Excellent. I had the Snapper special served with a potato pancake and a great sauce. The side of spinach was average.
Ambiance - Poor. It is a fish market that smells like one. The tables are quite small. We sat at a four top with three dining and the plates were banging together. A foursome at the table would be downright uncomfortable. No table cover.
Price - High. Dinner for three with glasses of wine was $90. |

I am surprised by the raves for this restaurant. I was disappointed in my fish, which was batter fried but overdone and my friend had lobster and also disappointed as she said it was a tad on the rubbery side. The staff were nice, decor okay and very clean, a very large menu so maybe we just chose the wrong things.
We thought the prices were very high in comparison to other Flagler Seafood Restaurants. Would not give it a second chance when there are so many other good ones to choose from. |

OH, MY GOSH, is what I have to say...... This is truly the BEST food I have ever eaten. I can't even begin to explain the quality of food that is served at this establishment. You absolutely must try it for yourself. Went for dinner on Thursday and the special of the day was to die for! I had sesame crusted salmon served over Thai peanut rice noodles, with tri color julienne peppers and a raspberry, mango, coulis (sp?) It tasted like the chef had spent all day preparing this amazing dish just for me! No joke! My mouth is watering.... |

Had dinner 5/09/06. The food was excellent. Sampler app was great. Market price was $25.00. My girlfriend was able to substitute oyster/clams for extra shrimp. The dip & chips were fantastic. My husband & I ordered the Shrimp burger with side of asparagus. Oh my God, the best I ever had! Service was less then to be desired. Waitress was more interested in waiting on the tables that were drinking alcohol. Bigger bill, bigger tip, I guess but we would recommend FFC to everyone. Flagler Fish Company is a great food experience. We visited for lunch today and I am counting the minutes to our next visit. They also serve breakfast on Friday and open at 10:00AM. ( Great for the Farmers Market Crowd.)
Today, I had to ordered the Sea Weed Salad and my hubby was attracted to the Asiago Potato for our side dishes. Both was superior! I feel this eatery is the best around. We brought a take home menu to study, in order to paln our next visit.
The staff made us feel so comfortable. Bo was our server and was a pleasure and refreshing.
Please do not let the appearance of the exterior fool you. "Their Food Will Knock Your Flops Off". |

HEAD RIGHT OVER TO Flagler Fish Company and enjoy a wonderful food experience. Don't waste your time at the typical seafood restaurant that you can find at any beach town, have an adventure.
Great taste, great service, and friendly atmosphere make Flagler Fish Company a must stop while visiting the area.
We arrived around 7 pm to a packed restaurant and were greeted by a smiling young man who informed us that we would have a short wait for a table. He served us our wine while we waited. Hey, who minds a wait with a glass of wine in hand?
After we sat down we looked at the menu and found a wide selection of dishes with all of your favorite fish (Tuna, Mahi, Grouper, Sea Bass, Salmon, etc), prepared to ensure that fishes flavor shines (seared, broiled, or grilled). They will even fry it if you request it, but I don't know why anyone would want to do that when the fish is so fresh and prepared perfectly.
I ordered Grouper seared, with lemon caper sauce, a Asiago Potato and Asparagus. My wife had two of the Northern Fish Tacos with the Asiago Potato.
The Grouper was the best I ever had. Seared to perfection, moist, flaky with a flavorful sauce that was neither over barring or in over abundance. The potato was perfect, soft, with the Asiago cheese on the top. The asparagus was crisp and yummy.
The fish tacos, accordingly to my wife, were "THE BOMB". They had fresh tomatoes, cabbage, cilantro, onion, and a chipotle mayo sauce that had great flavor and a little kick. She smiled the whole time she ate those tacos. She has ordered fish tacos at many restaurants and believes that these were in a league of their own! We will have to go back to try a different taco variety.
The staff was attentive and our server Christine was on the ball. She knew the menu and helped us navigate how we should have our dishes prepared based on our finicky tastes.
All I can say is that we had a wonderful dinner and have a renewed faith in the ability to find GREAT seafood in Flagler. |

The unassuming Flagler Fish Company has the freshest, best prepared fish in Flagler and Volusia counties, barring none. It's a credit to this casual, sparkling clean, cozy restaurant that there is absolutely no fishy smell, although you can watch all kinds of wonderful fresh fish being cleaned just a few feet away.
Chris, the owner, is a transplant from Atlanta, and he brought with him the healthier and more creative "California Cuisine" preparation style, adapted to a Southerner's since of value with very large portions . This winning combination has very strong evidence in the smiling faces of the repeat customers that pack the place even on week nights.
Those waiting in line are offered the option of ordering a glass of wine. . . making the wait a lovely part of the social experience . What a treat! The wines offered by the glass include a couple of higher end French varietals normally sold only by the bottle.
Being a light eater, I am not a fan of Chris' huge, rich, somewhat doughey tasting crab cakes or too bready shrimp sandwich. Saying that, every bite of every other dish I have tried there has been exceptional.
The menu is created in way that allows you to select your incredibly fresh fish, its excellent preparation (NOT FRIED. . . Yippee!) and the truly unique sauces served with it.
This restaurant is a locals favorite because it has food that in many ways surpasses the offerings of the very expensive, self conscious places like the Atlantic Grill and Baleen. The service is unpretentious, warm and welcoming (perhaps a little too unpolished at times), and the atmosphere casual and comfortable. . . which equals a relatively very good value.

I went there this past weekend with my parents who rave about the food. The food was fantastic and not what I expected. I had the crab cake sandwich, asparagus, & lobster bisque; each had fabulous flavor and was sizeable portions. For dessert I opted for the chocolate ravioli, it's a guilty pleasure. Phenomenal and different. They also have a great variety of wines and beers. I will definitely go there again to eat, next time I'll have to try the fried Twinkie. |

An unassuming shack of a building hidden behind Francesco’s Restaurant in Flagler Beach boasts a sign of a fish market and restaurant. The place looks like the standard run of the mill fish and chips or fish fry type of place, common anywhere along the seashore. Inside, its casual decor suggests friendly service, inexpensive prices, and unimaginative menu. We were in for a surprise. The menu is huge and filled with all sorts of unique offerings, described in a witty manner, and farthest from the usual dullness we expected. The market section of the restaurant proudly exhibited the few dozen varieties of seafood, some of which where quite rare. We were promptly seated at a small table, and spent quite a while trying to decide on our evening meals. A young gentleman came to our assistance, and was very knowledgeable about the menu offerings, and all things fishy. While taking our order he engaged us in playful conversation, which at times, could have been taken to be a little inappropriate.
A bright orange bisque, smelling very much of lobster arrived, and was tasted immediately. It was quite good, if a bit sharp. I wasn’t too hungry and ordered a shrimp burger, just because it sounded unique. And the burger was just as unique as it sounded. The combination of shrimp, basil and avocado took a bit of getting used to, but was satisfactory. My company stayed on the safe side and ordered a seared Ahi, with asparagus salad and Asian dipping sauce.
The sushi grade Ahi was fantastic. We would have stayed for dessert, as some of it sounded very appealing, but between the mild smell of the disinfectant permeating the place and the wise remarks of our waiter, we decided it was best to forgo the espresso and the crème brulee. It is a fairly new place, so some things are forgivable at this stage.
All in all, I would have to say it was a good experience, and certainly an interesting one. While some of the menu items are quite different, there are more than enough familiar dishes to keep one content, and if you’re looking for something entirely new from your seafood, The Flagler Fish Company is the place for you.

Traveling up and down the coast you dream of places like this. Imagine, FRESH fish, beautifully prepared and side dishes which are exceptional. No typical fried fish here. Everything is truly made from scratch and you can taste the difference. The owners have a winning concept here. The steamed mussels, halibut with lemon caper butter sauce and the Asiago potatoes were fabulous.
I love the casual atmosphere, the servers are great, the whole place has a family atmosphere. Since it's only 3 miles from Route 95, it is now a DESTINATION as I travel. We were there Dec. 1 and will be back in January. |

Wow...what an experience! Over the Thanksgiving holiday, we were in Flagler Beach and wanted to eat some seafood. The Flagler Fish Market is awesome. It has a great ambience (mellow, jazzy music!); hip decor; great service staff and the food is delicious. I had fresh fish cooked to my liking with an outrageous sauce, while my wife opted for a cuban sandwich. We ordered several appetizers to try all the different options. This place is great - you can eat for under $10 or go for it and spend $18 for a fresh fish entree and 2 sides (ask for the little stuffed red potatos - they're a specialty and taste incredible!)
This restaurant has to be one of the hottest dining destinations in Flagler/ Palm Coast! |

Wow, where did this place come from? I have never seen so much beautiful fresh seafood in one place ever, and it doesn't even smell like fish! Soups are incredible, salads are fresh and different, and the menu is great. When we were there the Chef sent out a dessert to a little child and had the staff sing happy birthday! The best dinning experience we've had in Florida so far! |

This is one of Flagler county's best kept secrets, albeit a new one. We went there Friday night, October 21st and were pleasantly surprised. It's not a fancy place. In fact, it's basically a fish market with a few tables. Still, it's nicely decorated (for a fish market) and clean. The food is the real star here. Very fresh fish, prepared beautifully and delicious (not your typical fried everything). We both had the sword fish which was prepared perfectly. For dessert, we shared chocolate ravioli which was scrumptious, and a glass of sherry which was perfectly married with the dessert.
Of equal importance is their service which was extraordinary, almost bordering on hovering, but not in a bad way. Everyone was super friendly and even our waitress who admitted it was her first night, served us like a seasoned pro.
We'll definitely be back, but in the mean time, this is an excellent resource for fresh fish for those of us that like to cook our own. They are open early on Friday mornings, so after you pick up your fresh veggies at the Farmer's Market, walk across the street and pick up some of the best fish you'll find in Flagler to cook for dinner. Last week I picked up a batch of sea scallops which were very fresh and delicious. |

From the oustide this place doesn't look much. It's an old block type building with a not very appealing frontage. However, once inside it's welcoming and cozy and the food and service were both very good. This is by far the best seafood in Flagler County and probably has the best service too. My only complaint is that it's a little pricey for the area and for the surroundings. They also have a fresh fish market. |
