No ambience, salty food, marginal help and a porch full of abusive alkies. You gotta run the alike gauntlet to eat here. Get rid of the smoke belching drunks on the porch, do something about the plywood partition and clean it up and maybe, maybe I'll be back. Under the circumstances, the food quality is immaterial. Hopefully, the folks on the porch were walking home. |

The Meeting Place has a Super Early Bird Special (until 5:30 PM) with a fantastic strip steak for $2 less than the regular menu. The steak is tender and I have ordered it 4 or 5 times and always have been happy....it comes with a small baked potato and salad. It is the best deal in town! I have also eaten the steak sandwich, which is also tender and not too big....I don't like/need huge portions. The new owners have redecorated and given this restaurant a more open and updated decor....so if you have not tried The Meeting Place recently, do go again. You will not be sorry! |

I enjoyed a wonderful dinner in The Meeting Place a few weeks ago. My boyfriend and I loved it. Our server was amazing and so friendly. She was a little busy but she still had time to take great care of us. The food was the best I've had in this town. My boyfriend ordered a 12 oz New York Strip and it was cooked to perfection and I ordered the chicken and shrimp gorgonzola, which the waitress recommended. It was so good. The only thing that we didn't like was some of the food was a little overpriced. I enjoyed the experience though and we will be back. |

We went for dinner on a Wednesday night.Two of us ordered the fried shrimp which was OK, my mom ordered the pork chops and she said they were good and juicy. The waitress did not provide very good service even though we were the only people in there.She spent her time talking to the other workers in the back. I ordered a Martini and the waitress did not know how to carry it and spilled 1/3 on the table. Overall the prices were too high for the quality, and the ambiance was even less
appealing. We will not be returning. |
