When I moved to Palm Coast from Chicago last year and had my first sub from Firehouse subs, I feel in love. Goodbye Subway and Quiznos. |

We went to Firehouse Subs for the first time a few nights ago. I had a hankering for a veggie sub & we happened to be in the vicinity. Although I enjoyed the decor of old fashioned firehouse memorabilia & photos, I was not happy with the high decibel level of the TV set mounted above our heads. Not only was the volume at an uncomfortable & distracting level, but the screen held too much attention for the employees. It was a little unnerving to watch them staring up at the TV screen, over & past my head (like I didn't exist) when they should have had their eyes on the food they were preparing!
Because the counter/wall area is so high (just above my eye level) I could not watch as my sandwich was being prepared, nor could I view the ingredients to choose from (unlike subway where the food is visible through the Plexiglas counter). The young man behind the register, who took our order, had to rattle off my choices of veggies, cheese, & dressings forcing me to mentally have to keep track of what he said so I could order what I wanted. Even after we placed our order he still had to call over to me a few times to ask me if I wanted this or that. Also, I discovered that unless you specify you want a cold sub, they will automatically cook the veggies.
Despite the confusion of ordering, my veggie sub was very tasty & did "hit the spot" by satisfying my craving. My husband enjoyed his meat laden ensemble & we agreed that we will go there again, but next time we will be more aware of how to place our order. |

The subs at Firehouse are absolutely fantastic. I am not really a "sub" person, but these are just great. My husband and I love the Italian sub, fully involved. Do not know how anyone can even compare this to Subway - I wouldn't even want a sub from there. Firehouse is always clean, friendly and prompt. |

I prefer Subway but Firehouse still offer a very good alternative. Try their Steamer Sub. |

I love Firehouse Subs! I crave the fully involved Turkey all the time. It's my one vice! :-D The brownies are terrific, too! |

I prefer Subway to Firehouse but none the less their sandwiches aren't too bad. I also like the selections they have different to Subway such as corned beef. |

We stopped there yesterday. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. The food was terrific. The place was clean and attractive. Beats all other sub places I've been to hands down! |

The place was not busy but took 25 minutes to make 2 subs. The staff didn't seem like they had much training before starting the job. The people making the subs were talking on the phone with gloves on, putting their hands in their pockets and then making subs without changing gloves. The staff were a bunch of high schoolers with no adult supervision to be seen. I would not go there again. |

After having one of their subs, I guess it's time to go back to Subway. The chicken breast on the sandwich was filled with grizzle. I could do without that. I gave them fair because the soda wasn't too bad. |

The subs are okay, but they can't compare to a Publix sub made with Boar's Head brand meat. The prices are the same, but Publix gives you more meat and a bigger sub! |

Best subs in town!! Well worth the little extra $$ they cost. Also, the atmosphere inside is cool. I like the dalmation tables. The place is packed for a reason, its good. Alot of other restaurants in town should take some notes on how to pack a restaurant.

I ordered an Italian Sub 1/2 lb and it was delicious. My girlfriend had a meatball and that wasn't so bad either, but the Italian sub was great! Staff was very friendly and restaurant was very clean, as it should be. I recommend to anyone. |
