The best of the best ! I have eaten at numerous Thai restaurants in major cities and only a few have come even close to the quality and wonderful flavor of Thai by Thai. The dining room and restroom are spotlessly clean and fresh, and the ingredients used are the finest. The seasonings and flavors here are beyond compare, and the portions are generous. The owner and staff are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. Be sure to try the Tom Kha Gai soup and the Panang Curry and the Masaman Curry as well. Delicious seafood dishes as well, all properly and tastily prepared. Service is usually fast and friendly. I only wish they were closer! Truly delicious. |

Recently, we started getting their food as "take-out" for lunch. It is as great as eating at the restaurant. We love the squid rings with the cucumber dip. We recently tried the yellow curry. WOW!. We love their food, but the restaurant decor just doesn't sit well with us. Thus, we enjoy take-out. Beats the heck out of any of the "Chinese" places in town. |

I really like this place! Very tasty. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more atmosphere to the joint. It's the only Thai in town and I'm grateful for it! Panang curry is yummy. Ask for spicy, it's wonderful and their dish presentation is very nice. Good vegetarian selections. I wish they had another location beachside in Flagler :) |

I love Thai food and found Thai by Thai to be a gem today. I was impressed with their offering of Thai hot. It truly meant Thai hot and I love it. Of course they offer a choice of three heat levels, so something offered should appeal to everyone’s taste for heat. Everything was tasty, fresh, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and plentiful. If you are a fan of Thai cuisine, or just looking for something a little different for your taste buds, I think you’ll be satisfied with Thai by Thai. The prices are great too. My lunch was between $10.00 - $11.00, including a 20% tip. My server, my lunch and overall experience was wonderful. This was my first visit to Thai by Thai and it won’t be my last. |

After an afternoon of shopping last Saturday my friend and I were tired and hungry. That's when we spied Thai by Thai! Have never eaten Thai food before. I'm usually not the adventurous type when it comes to dining out but my friend has eaten this type of cuisine many times. She said, "Try it , you'll like it:" So I did and I liked it! Very comfortable atmosphere, food was very tasty. I will recommend Thai by Thai to others. |

I was not impressed with the food at all here. Having been to Thailand 2 times in the last 6 years, I don't think that this restaurant serves authentic Thai food. It was not very flavorful, other than spicy. The set up inside was a little cramped also. The staff was nice... but our waiter was very weird. |

My husband and I ate here at the end of January and were surprised at how tasteless the Pad Thai w/Tofu was. The only saving grace was that he enjoyed his Panang Curry. We will most likely not be returning and will continue to drive 25 minutes north to St. Augustine for Thai food. |

My husband & I have eaten at Thai by Thai many times, on various days of the week (closed Sundays), & different times of the day. Every single time has been EXCELLENT! People complain they have to wait. Well, the food is made fresh to order. If you want "fast food" go to KFC & leave the tables available to those of us who can keep our pants on! (Although I always need to unbuckle mine when I'm finished because I am so full!)
Order some tea, or a Singha, to start. Order the fresh spring rolls as an appetizer (my personal favorite). Relax, enjoy the ambiance, enjoy conversation with your dinner companions. I honestly think that too many people nowadays are so used to wolfing their food down while staring at the TV or gabbing into their cell phones that they've forgotten how to enjoy the fellowship of breaking bread together!
This is a sweet little restaurant that serves everyone with a smile! The wait staff are always happy to answer your questions, they all will check up on you even if it isn't their table. The owner is always pleasant, relaxed, & eager to make you feel at home. And do you all want to know just how fresh the food is? I see him all the time shopping for veggies at the Publix! How fresh is that?! It shows me that he is not relying solely on wholesale bulk produce to stock his pantry. And when he sees me in the Publix he always smiles & says hello!
Eat there. Drink there. And for crying out loud... be merry! |

I have be in love with this restaurant since I found it. The owner Shaw is so great about having you try different items. He seems to always remember everything we have already tried and is quick to have us experience something new. We eat there 3 times a week. I will never eat Chinese food again as this is so good and healthy food for you. I think this is Palm Coast's best kept secret. Try it at least once. |

Love this place. I had to work late yesterday and didn't have a chance to get to the grocery store so the frig was pretty empty. We decided to go to Thai by Thai last night for dinner. It was excellent, as always. We arrived at 8:10pm, ordered our meal with an appetizer, had our dinners (hot and fresh) and we were done by 8:40pm. The service here is great and the food is delicious. I had the Pad Thai and it was wonderful. I love the casual atmosphere and the staff is so nice. They are always very pleasant with big smiles on their faces. Very enjoyable. |

WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! I have been meaning to write this review for a long time, and as I'm thinking about what I'm ordering from Thai by Thai tonight, I thought I'd finally write it! My husband and I are "foodies," and we love all kinds of good food. We come from living in bigger cities--Philadelphia, D.C., Orlando, Tampa, so we've been spoiled with great restaurants and lots of "real" ethnic food. We have a very high bar to which we compare all of the food we order out! That being said, this place is awesome. The food is really good, so tasty. The service is great, and the owners are so sweet! We've had consistently great experiences. We strongly recommend the Tom Yum soup, the Panang curry, the whole fried fish, the basil shrimp and of course the Thai Tea! |

sa-wa DEE Krab (hello)... New to the area and first visit to this local Thai restaurant and would have to say the food was average from Thai standards. Spring Soft Roll was fresh, well prepared, yet the sugary dipping sauce was totally wrong for this appetizer. Pad Thai was fairly good, noodles were a tad too soft and the Panang Curry was very lacking in coconut milk, but tasty with a good amount of chili paste. Decor is clean, bright and very friendly and efficient servers. Would try it again for other selections. Khob Pra Khun Krab (thank you). |

My wife and I stumbled across Thai by Thai when we were house hunting before moving to Palm Coast. We fell in love with this great little restaurant. We have both worked in restaurants for many years (20 yrs combined). In other words, we know restaurants. We thought the food was fantastic. The service was just fine, no problems. Decor is so so, could use something, but not a deal breaker. The place is very clean. We have dined several times, enjoyed every time! |

We enjoyed this Thai food that had wonderful flavor instead of just burning our mouth off. My wife and I like spicy food, but not when you can't taste the dish. Thai by Thai prepared our dinner within our individual spice tolerance. The waitress spent time with us suggesting dishes, spice level, and ensuring we enjoyed our meal.
The menu offers plenty of variety of seafood, meat, chicken, noodle, and vegetarian dishes. The portions were large and cooked to perfection.
If you like Thai food, I highly recommend Thai by Thai. |

Regretfully. one of the dishes I ordered was unavailable. The second dish was tasty but, the ingredient that was supposed to be in the dish, was not to be found. The waiter said it was scarce after serving it to me,but no substitution was ordered.
After the meal we presented a coupon and the owner said theprevious owner had honored it but he would not. We left with a bad taste for this restuarant. |

This is not good Thai food. How can I say it any more simply?
My wife and I both just moved from NY where we grew to love Thai food. Thai by Thai's cuisine is made like the chef doesn' t think Americans know any better.
The ingredients seemed fresh, but that's about the only good thing I can say here. Thai by Thai's food is so bland, it's like eating plain noodles with unseasoned chicken. Last I checked, Thai food should be full of flavor, zest and spice.
Unfortunately, there are no Thai alternatives in our area (if anyone reading this is a Thai chef- the marke tis wide open!), but even so, we will be avoiding this one in favor of- well... just about anything.
If you really crave Thai, then get an Uncle Ben's Thai rice bowl- it has more flavor than anything we tried at this restaurant. |

On this particular evening, craving something exotic, we found ourselves in Palm Harbor Shopping Village, outside of Thai by Thai.
It was about a quarter to 9, and the sign on the door read 'closed'. Disappointed, we were scrambling back into the car, when a young gentleman ran out of the restaurant and explained to us that it would be not a problem for us to still have dinner, and they would be glad to serve us, etc. After hesitating for a bit, hunger took over and we walked in. The place was well lit, small and entirely unpretentious.
The menus were extraordinarily pretty, and full of unpronounceable words. We ordered some appetizers: Spring Rolls (staying on the safe side) and Satay (grilled marinated chicken on bamboo skewers). For entrees, we wanted adventure, so my wife ordered Phra Ram Long Song (sliced beef with Thai peanut sauce), and I got the Pad Krapraow (beef, simmered in basil and chili sauce). Both entrées were excellent, and in the great tradition of the Orient, everything was absolutely gorgeous, down to the tiniest detail. With the initial hunger satisfied, we took in our surrounding. The décor could stand to be a bit improved on. The chairs could be a little more comfortable, and maybe some table liners.
There was a family of five dining next to us. The two little boys were quite a hit with the staff. They were continuously treated to various magic tricks, a few hugs, and lots of high fives. They seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves, if trickles of laughter were any indication. Other than the few reservations regarding the décor, our dining experience turned out to be quite pleasant. Expecting to feel somewhat like intruders, due to our late arrival, we felt quite welcomed. We will definitely be back.

We are used to Thai fare. We were excited that Palm Coast finally had a Thai restaurant. At first, Thai by Thai was descent, but then the promptness of service has been terrible of late. During our last visit, we realized there was a table of about 16 people that evening. We understand that the promptness of service may be delayed. Unfortunately, it took over an hour to receive our drinks and over an hour and a half to receive our food.I was dining with an out-of-town friend and it was quite embarrassing. The portions are demeaning to a real Asian and the prices are somewhat expensive. They do make terrific Thai tea! I must give them that. |

Six of us were at this restaurant last night and waited 1/2 hour for someone to take our order, and had to wait more than another hour to receive our food. After 1 1/2 hours, we had to complain several times to get any service. The food was cold and had to be sent back to be reheated. Where were they storing it while we waited to be served? It was also poorly seasoned. I had an upset stomach all night long. I won't be back. And the rest of the party won't be back either. |

What happened to this restaurant? We ate there 6-7 times over the course of a year and the food was delicious. Then we did not have the chance to go for a few months and we went back only 2 times and experienced awful food both times...we thought the first time was an off night given our prior good experiences...not so. This is a shame. Thai food is wonderful and these people are capable of better. Are they sacrificing taste and quality to compete at a low price point given the stiff competition of Lucky Buffet and the nearby Japanese restaurant? |

As an Asian American accustomed to authentic Thai food, I understand tastes and expectations vary widely in the US. I lived in Washington, DC most of my life and we have seen many good and bad thai restaurants. Here's how I view Thai by Thai. First, service was quite friendly & family oriented which I appreciate. We felt our needs were met instantaneously. The food was less than desireable. Poor or absent flavor was a consistent problem. Good Thai food almost has has fish sauce, ginger, and other spices. None here.
Pad Thai, a staple in most Thai restaurants is always a good indicator of quality. It was awful. Not even close.
The spring rolls were white, weird, and taste like, well nothing.
We were dissapointed since we are moving to Palm Coast and look forward to finding better Thai food, or perhaps they will read this email and smell the spices.

Kind of makes you wonder what the patron who thought the food here was "terribly disapointing", was expecting, or is used to. Of course, taste is a matter of personal preference. My own opinion is that the ambiance/decor is neat but not fancy, a 7 out of ten. The waitress, a 5 out of ten. The server/owner an 8 out of ten. The food, a 7 out of ten, and the prices reasonable. I recommemend this restaurant...it's not the best, but it's pretty good, AND there aren't any very good Thai places near by. Cheers! |

I tried the Thai food in the city before, but this one doesn't seem so authentic. Maybe I was too picky or maybe people in Palm Coast didn't know the real Thai food at all. I didn't like the waitress there. She didn't have any smile at all. But the server was nice and smile all the times. That should give them some stars. |

I recently had the delight of dining at Thai by Thai. As a resident of Washington DC, I am very familiar with Thai cuisine due to the abundance of Thai restaurants in the city. Thai by Thai not only offers authentic Thai dishes, but does so in the true Thai fashion of friendliness and with the all familiar "smile" which is rarely found in big cities. The owner, Eed, and his wait staff made me feel most welcome, and served a truly enjoyable green curry chicken (the like of which I have not had for quite a while). Also, so nice to dine on fine celadon plates and bowls. They certainly enhance an already fabulous meal. Amazing to find such a wonderful experience as Thai by Thai in Palm Coast. I'll definitely return when I visit my friends in Palm Coast again. |

I really love this restaurant and all of the food that I've had there has been top notch. The only drawback is that they can't seem to get spicy, medium, and mild straight--what's mild on one visit will be spicy the next, etc. But they are more than willing to fix your dish or give you something more to your liking. |
