Visited for St. Patrick's Day during Bike Week so didn't expect the best service, but although slow it was still good and the food was great. The atmosphere was awesome and we loved the vibe there. Overall a really great afternoon.

My husband and I have been going to the Lion since 2006. We LOVE it! The atmosphere cannot get any better. The food is extremely good, the service is usually very good, and the servers are always friendly and polite. The entertainment is awesome. Everyone should attend one of the full moon parties. I take my hat off to the owner also. He gets the place involved with local events and frequents the place to make sure all is well. The annual whale watching is awesome too. A great place to just kick back and relax. We take all our out of town visitors to the Lion to experience true Florida ambiance.

I've lived in Palm Coast since 2003 and only started going to the Golden Lion after visiting there with a brother about 2 years ago, as just driving by it looked a little worn out! Once entering the restaurant, it turns out to be a typical beach type restaurant with regard to the atmosphere, nicer than expected but no surprises! The service is good, but not over the top, which is O.K., for a casual dining experience. The food, is the most pleasant surprise of all. I've now had the burger plates, way better than any fast food restaurant and about the same price, based upon the amount of food. The pulled pork, Philly cheese steak and chicken sandwiches are all quite tasty. Recently, I had a blackened grouper sandwich platter which was excellent and my boyfriend had the bread boule, which was filled with shrimp and scallops, it was amazing. The sauce and contents were so delicious, we almost ate all the bread, the fresh (love the fact that you use fresh not frozen) veggie medley was not over cooked and the mashed potatoes excellent. The only disappointment was the brown gravy (a bit salty and tasted like it was "bounty" from the can). Overall, we have to say the food hardly ever disappoints and the atmosphere is always pleasant and fun. The Golden Lion is now on our list of places we return to regularly.

We were in Flagler beach looking for a house to buy, when we stopped here for lunch. We were very impressed with the atmosphere...comfortable and casual. I loved dining next to the beach and feeling the ocean breeze! I ordered the onion soup, which was great, but my son got the fish and chips, and I couldn't stop eating his food ...Awesome!! He has never really liked fish before, but he actually loved it, and so did I ! Now I'm dreaming of finally moving to our new home so I can come back often and order my own fish and chips ! Can't wait ! I'm already planning on bringing our friends who visit our new home to the Golden Lion. Excellent! Somebody finally got it all right!

We've been going to The Golden Lion since we moved up to this area in 2005. It's my favoite place to go for Fish and Chips...absolutely the best! Last night we had company from the Orlando area and took them to The Lion for dinner. We all shared the Jumbo Shrimp, Steamed Muscles and Raw Oysters besides having our dinner entres of Fish and Chips, Swordfish, Grouper and Seafood Combo Platter. As usual...all was AWESOME! Our waiter, Shaun, was friendly and helpful! Our friends will definately return to The Lion on their next visit! Thank you all for a great evening!

I am facing a Major Operation shortly... My wife wanted to do something "special" for me! So she asked me where I would like to visit again. I quickly replied " Take me to The Lion" !!! We were there only once before and I found it to be "Remarkable! Well worth revisiting!
