My husband and I went to Bamboo Creek for dinner. We were seated promptly and and middle aged Asian woman asked us I'd we wanted anything to drink. Before she got our drinks she went to the next table and took their order. She came out with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered a large wonton egg drop soup. I ordered roast pork with mixed veg and my husband only wanted appetizers and to please bring our food at the same time. Our soup was not hot. It looked like snot. Then she comes out with the appetizers I told her I didn't need a dish and she still put it on the table. My husband proceeded to eat his food. He was finished and I still had no food. I told a younger girl that I hadn't gotten my food. She asked what it was and I told her. I also was so angry at this point I told her I no longer wanted it. My husband is done and the people who came in after us already got their food. Had to ask our server for a to go container for the rest of the soup and she got nasty. She took the receipt out of my hand. When I said something to the younger girl at the register she said we are very busy and she doesn't speak the language. Won't go back again.
My family and I have been ordering from this place for two years now. There has always been a communication issue with the staff but we've been understanding and patient enough when ordering our food that it hasn't been an issue for them to get our order correct. Lately the last two orders we placed we were very disappointed with the quality of our food. The beef in the food was very rubbery and didn't taste like beef. The last time we ordered rice it was under cooked and there were pieces of egg shell in the rice. It was absolutely disgusting and we order from there often so we didn't want to risk complaining and upsetting them because we know the saying about pissing off the people that handle your food. We will likely discontinue eating at this place.
I have had better Chinese food out of a can. This place Is awful and the people are rude as heck. If you're in the mood for Chinese food, go to Publix and pick up a can of Chung King Chow Mein. Much Better than this horrible place.
I can but only ditto other reviewers. When we came to Palm Coast 3 years ago, we wanted to check out restaurants with our favorite foods. Bamboo Creek was a favorite. When there were two blah meals, horrible service, indifference,,, we called it quits. This is a clean, pleasant place located centrally, plenty of parking. Plenty, because those last few times we went, we were the only customers or one of two - when many used to be there! I can only think that there must be an absentee owner since any respectful owner would never run a place like this. It totally needs to shut down and let new people take over. It can't be far away for sure. Try Thai Korner restaurant at 1280 Palm Coast SW in Palm Coast. Absolutely great food (love Drunken Noodles and sake/plum wine - ask)!! Service there is being greeted when you walk in, seated and even with many customers, you are special. I wouldn't lie to you! If you get thru all the bad reviews and read this, try Thai Korner!
Waste of $30 !Dont know what happened. They used to be good when they opened .I guess it's like all Chinese now not very good! The woman at the register was very rude and I'll never eat here again. Can probably make better Chinese at home .I wonder when Palm Coast is going to get some good restaurants!
We ate there the chicken and broccoli did not taste, look like chicken at all, gross. The Mongolian beef was a plate full of onion and more onions and more onions, the beef was ok, but didn't need about 3 big onions as my meal?
We were frequent customers of Bamboo Creek When it first opened . We also used to go to Royal Dynasty in Ormond Beach.
Now that Royal Dynasty has closed we thought we would go back to Bamboo Creek. What a mistake.
We ordered moo shu pork. A dish we are very familiar with. It is supposed to be finely shredded pork, vegetables and egg. mixed in a lite brown sauce and served with thin rice pancakes and plum sauce.
What we received was clumps of pork with fat attached some vegetables swimming in oil and soy sauce. the Special "Plum sauce" seemed to be a mixture of mustard, soy sauce and I don't know what else, it wasn't purple and it wasn't Plum.
To top it off the "Pancakes" were "Tortillas" That's right, the kind you get at Publix when making Fajitas.
We complained to the server. She shrugged and said "I don't know" "I ask" she never returned, except to bring the check. We were hungry so we ate our other dish, a so so beef with broccoli, picked at the non fat pieces of pork and a few vegetables.
When we paid the check the Manager was hostile. We asked why the "Rice Pancakes" were Tortillas, She replied "That's how we do it now you no like, no order"
At one time this was the best Chinese restaurant in the area. It consistently took 'the best of reader's awards. NOT ANYMORE! Like a soldier being drummed out and stripped of his medals, Palm Coast should take down their awards. Not sure of what happened to them but my guess is they changed ownership and chefs. The food is tasteless at best and overcooked at worst. MY husband and I avoid it now. For future advise don't waste your money.
